He could come out and look terrible. These things happen all of the time (and people always forget that here). However, I saw a lot more than dinks and dunks and South Carolina still has a higher ranked pass D than 7 other SEC teams including UGA, Bama, Florida and aTm.I think they were 25th in scoring D going into the game. Most defenses in the SEC suck this year.

He played well and nobody can deny that but if you don't think it was dink and dunk you weren't watching the same game..all but one of his completions were 10 yards or less down the field..the wrs just made plays. His few deep balls were overthrown and he threw that bad pick. He was very accurate with what they asked of him. They didn't have him throwing the ball 20 plus yards down the field like they do with Brennan for a reason

Finley does not equal Brandon Harris, please never make that comparison eve again. When did Brandon Harris go 14-16 for over 200 yards and 2 tubs in the first half? I’ll wait....

You sound mad that he was successful. That’s pretty shitty

I think Brennan is better at running our full offense and has shown the ability to make more difficult throws, but the need of some on here to throw jabs at Finley in order to prop up Myles is ridiculous.

TJ did literally everything and more that could realistically have been expected of him as a 4th-game true freshman making a start. Let’s just leave it there.

Myles has EARNED the starting spot. If the coaches thought TJ or Max were better, they’d have been starting before Brennan’s injury.

My point is there is no QB controversy. Kevin Steele is going to expose a freshman QB this weekend and we are going to be rooting hard for Brennan to get healthy quick.

So how much you gonna cry when that doesn't happen???

South Carolina has a higher rated pass defense the Auburn. And was high up in least points allowed before this past weekdd

arris had a decent come back attempt against msu. He replaced a completely inept QB. TJ played a full game and was replacing a competent QB. This is so different

This.

I agree that Auburn away will be a tougher opponent but this isn’t a good comparison

Sounds like you want him to struggle so you can get your qb back.

I thought Finley looked smooth and was not rattled for his first start in college like Brennen was against Miss St. He did not get happy feet and he has the mental part down. He can throw on the run and gets rid of the ball quicker and there is no hesitation. I want to see how he does on the road at Auburn even though it won’t be a sold out stadium. He will make freshman mistakes but it did not bother him when he threw the interception. He came back out and kept slinging it.

Really hope this doesn’t go to his head bc it will be Brandon Harris all over again if it does.

B Harris never looked as good as TJ did.

I don’t disagree, but Auburn’s offense with shifts and motions has been our defense’s pariah, and with Tank Bigsby they’ll do to us what we did to SCar.

Whoever plays at QB is going to have to carry the team in a shootout.

Jane, you ignorant slut...I get what you're saying to a point. Steele will most certainly mix in zone. Muschamp is a Saban disciple which means early down man free as well as man free if the offense stays in favorable down and distance scenarios (which lsu did). Man free with south Carolina's DBs vs our WRs was a massive advantage for us. Steele will likely do a better job of mixing in disguised zone coverages in an attempt to confuse a young QB. Where I depart from your cocksure speculation is in the fact that we don't know 2 things: 1. Is Finley adept at recognizing coverages and if not: 2. Have the coaches simplified reads vs zones to simple key reads of one defender.
