The 2 teams we lost 2 were number 2 and 11 ranked defensive teams in the country...
But whatever, so here you go with that 10 points in 2 games against decent defenses in Bama and UF...

2016 Opponents Defensive Rankings (Stats Starting Missouri game)
Wins
Total Defense: 71
Rush Defense: 81
Scoring Defense: 67

Opponents Records
Average wins: 7
Average Losses: 6

Losses
Total Defense: 4
Rush Defense: 20
Scoring Defense: 4

Opponents Records
Average wins: 12
Average Losses: 3

Here are the mighty teams we beat and how they rank on defense:

This is out of 128 teams.

Southern Miss total defense 19; rush defense 54

TAMU total defense 96; rush defense 83

Arkansas total defense 84; rush defense 102

Ole Miss total defense 101; rush defense 113

Missouri total defense 117; rush defense 118.

What the hell does this say about how difficult it is to call plays against these teams?
Texas Tech had a better rush defense than Missouri to put that into perspective.

Before Ensminger: (Absolute dumpster fire)
TDs: 9
Avg points: 18
Avg total yards: 339.5

After Ensminger:
Avg points: 32
Avg total yards: 464.9

Tell me about the defenses before Esminger. And about the defenses after Esminger.

Now how did Esminger do against the defenses that were comparable to the ones in the first 4 games?

(Hint: It rhymes with "Shive points per game")

Seems like a common quote I hear in regards to LSU coaches. Maybe LSU should just hire qualified candidates. This is LSU, supposedly a big time program. This isn’t some Div III school that’s a stepping stone for coaches to learn their craft.

Calling plays is not the same as installing your offense and maintaining everything that went into it.

We had no success versus the only 2 defenses we faced, we averaged 5 points per game against those 2 defenses.

We also had a LOADED team that year and took advantage of an incredibly down SEC schedule..

The SEC is finally upgrading coaching all around the league and we just keep promoting position coaches from within..

I know you mean well, but you just don’t get it.

People aren’t mad about Steve.

We’re mad that we were lied to by O and Alleva.

We were sold a bill of goods when O was hired and we were told elite coordinators were part of the plan

Any self respecting fan base would react the same exact way

Orgeron is a lying sack of shite who backstabbed his way into the job and is best buds with a convicted felon who helped him get the job.

And WE are the embarrassment?

The OP almost nailed the thread title, it should have been The Rant and The Administration is an embarrassment to LSU.

Also has he even shown he can develop QB's? An entire different issue

It was the same QB when he took over as interim. Thinking seems to be a real struggle for this place.

I don't understand how people can be okay with hiring unqualified people and then say "give him a chance"

Its completely irresponsible and its how businesses fail everyday in the real world

LSU offense was the best when he was the OC. As an outside observer it looks like some local folks just don't like O or SE but the numbers don't justify their resentment.

There are so many people on here who have sold their souls to the devil hoping this team fails. I was not real enthused with the CEO hire and now I am not real enthused about the CSE promotion but damn these guys have not gone backwards in the program yet and may actually have some success. I will laugh my arse off if these guys put it all together next year and win the SEC and go to playoffs. There would be so much back walking on here...

My overall concern is that I while these guys might win a lot of games I dont think they will challenge for the championships...JMHO
