For anyone who has coached or played basketball and knows the game, this team is not lacking due to coaching. We are struggling due to talent and it’s apparent.

Does that mean we will always be bad? No. Does it mean McMahon can get us on track to be a tourney team? Maybe.

This coming year if we can go out and get 2 kids who are difference makers, we can be a tourney team. Not a Baker or a Wright. A couple dudes. I think we have a better opportunity to bring those kids in with a season that has shown McMahon is probably getting about as much as possible out of this team.

I admittedly haven’t watched a single game this year, but I’ve seen all the scores. How does a “well coached” team consistently give up near triple digits on defense?

What is LSU’s strength from a coaching standpoint? I’m honestly curious. I have no idea.

We’re not well coached in any facet of the game. We don’t defend, we don’t take care of the ball, we don’t rebound, we take terrible shots and we’re the worst situational team I’ve ever seen at LSU mentally. Our players have shown flashes, our coach hasn’t shown a single thing in 2 years.

Today we got out coached in the second. Wide open threes and easy alley oops off of screens. Once was ok. Twice was coaching three and four times was bad

I’m not hating. But it is what it is. And constantly bring in foul trouble hasn’t been addressed

LSU literally had the same pattern of defensive breakdowns possession after possession.

You guys are hopeless

2025 is the measuring stick. We should have the joes & nobody will be moving goalposts, so inb4 “next year u”.

2 years is a reasonable expectation for a MBB turnaround in this era, but it’s fair to give McMahon +1, given the circumstances.

I’m looking forward to next season and will be surprised if we flop — but if we do I won’t be able to defend McMahon. So people will continue flapping their lips the rest of this season, but there will be no ambiguity regarding program trajectory this time next year.

Basketball discord on the rant is more insufferable than football

Only because the basketball fans have to put up with you people who don’t give a shite about basketball.

Does it make you feel better to post this when we give up 100+ to the same team twice in the same season?

What part of this box score screams “well coached”.

Hyperboleking strikes again. Glad to see you finally dropped the “we don’t run an offense” schtick.

A well coached team doesn’t turn it over 3 times and take 3 quick 3s right after taking the lead with less than a quarter of the game remaining. This has happened over and over again for two seasons under this guy.

We got beat on the offensive boards 19-6. We had no better game plan against the same team put up 100+ a few weeks ago.

He doesn’t have the capability to do anything else. We have one way to win and it’s threading the needle at that.

I've watched about 18 minutes combined over several games this year.

18 minutes of game play, 3 total offensive passes I can remember.

We are shite coached.

Suddenly, we have a bunch of basketball experts that can tell us how our sub .500 teams are actually well coached. You have to really know basketball to see it tho
