still a couple years away from being ready for big games.
...and Jefferson is?
Something needs to be done to light a fire under the offense's arse. If not, the rest of the Offense will eventually quit because of no changes being made.

This is a fear I have I hope it doesn't happen before Bama but could see it happening with lackluster wins against Auburn and Tulane

the only real change that needs to be made at QB is that Shep needs to start getting some meaningfull minutes and not just running the option. Let him throw the ball every now and then to keep the d honest.

You will not see JLee. The players and fans demanded this, and Miles is giving it to them, to the bitter end.
Lafell, Scott, Williams, and Toliver are losing bank over the team bailing on JLee last year. The seniors need to man up, and tell the coaches they will play hard for which QB can get this offense going.

Byrd was the ringleader of the JJ group. He's gone.
The players you mentioned know who should be QB now.

what makes you think the players want to play for Lee? I'm sure they would play just as hard for Lee as they do for Jefferson. That's kind of crazy to suggest that they would ploay harder for one QB over another. They want the QB that gives them the best chance to win the games in the games

Please explain to me how having Lee in there is going to improve our offensive gameplan?

We don't know that it will. You have to try something different to know!
Posted on 10/12/09 at 2:30 pm to cepheid
I do know this if I were Lafell I would be pissed right now be it at the coaches or other players that they can't even get the ball in my vicinity where I can make a play in my money year.....I'm just saying.

The receivers might go with Lee. He's by far the better passer. He just takes more risks, but with that come more rewards. A better passing game will then lead to a better running game. We need to try smthg. Taking sacks and being confused all the time will not win in the SEC. This is Jeffersons MO so far.

By actually being able to complete throws accurately downfield on a regular basis.
Having a quicker release to allow longer developing pass plays to be called.
A more thorough knowledge of the playbook.

295 ypg and <20 ppg offensively(117 total points scored this year minus 2 pick 6's and CJ Punt Ret)
I'm ok with trying anything else considering where we thought we were in 2008 and where we are now.
Can it really get worse than 109th O in the country?
LSU was 4th in the SEC last year avg'd over 30 ppg LINK
Fast forward to mid-2009 and you have 1770 yards after 6 games?? LINK2 The top 5 QB's in the country have more passing yards by themselves than LSU's entire offensive production.
This warrants the complaints.
But I'm sure you'll still see the "Oh, but what else do you want? We are 5-1 and #10 in the country"
Some just wont get it.

So in your mind a true freshman QB gets less than a season's worth of games started to prove himself......good lord I hope JJ comes around or you will be calling for Shep and lord knows what happens if he fails in 8-9 games

I know that there was a near-mutiny last year over Lee, but the ringleader of that is gone. I think they've realized the error of their ways at this point.
