This is going to be downvoted. But I wanted to make a point. Baseball is a game of highs and lows. The best MLB teams win 100-110 games a year. That means that they go home 50-60 times a year a loser. The sky is not falling. Things to look for. Quality at bats, hard contact, runners LOB, BB’s and freebie war. This is a long season. This is a talented team.
I do see the 3rd base situation as somewhat embarrassing. Embarrassing because CPM plugs a guy two weeks prior to the season. You should have a third baseman plugged in by the end of the fall

I can see why they are picked to finish 4th in the west. This team has a few talented players but several very average players also. Gonna be disappointing for those who think this team is going to host a regional.

My main issue is... there are unknowns on our team, yes

But why take a guy out (Arnold) who hit a home run and turned a sweet double play Game 1, and looked like the best player out there
And replace him with bianco, who has never played shortstop? And leave hellmers at third after he struggled game 1?

And then bring in your stud closer when you’re up 4 game 1, and say he’s unavailable to close when we actually need him

And then game2, take out viet when he was dealing to bring in a true freshman, and then a senior who struggles to throw strikes

I get playing guys l.. but come on, that was just a boneheaded coaching move. No other way to put it

This is how I vet posters... if 90% of your last posts were on poli and you drive-by to another board with a hot-take - well, okay then.

I won't downvote you.

Point me to a 55% win percentage getting a top 8 seed in college baseball.

The talent difference between MLB teams is not that much. Obviously some teams are more talented than others.

The talent difference between lsu and Air Force is night and day.

There’s your difference. You can’t compare this shite to mlb teams

You don’t have to be an expert to know that Paul will get this team hot around may then the bats will get cold as ice in the post season. Paul is no different than Les was on the back end of his career. He will build a solid team but there are just 2-3 holes in the roster that can’t be overcome. If by some miracle we do overcome those holes, Paul will pull a Les and screw it up. It’s time for new blood so we will just wait out the inevitable.

Pm was saved by covid last year
Those bats would have kept that team from regional
Another year same problems
This team will be 5/6 in west and likely out of regionals

This team is not close to teams like Ole Miss and Arkansas. 5th in the west is very likely

The sunshine pumpers who support this guy is amazing, but not surprising. You better update your "excuse for Mainieri sheet," you're going to need it.

Meh, don’t sell the experts short.

Not just baseball.

These know it alls are on top of all athletics. Bunch of clerks and college kids smarter than people actually getting paid to do it.

If it isn’t, that’s all on Paul. And it didn’t look much different this weekend. Lsu has gone as far as it can go with Paul.
