The grass will be cut again before next Saturday. I think they usually paint the field on Wednesday of game week.

How many other fields have ever marked the 5 yard lines as well? I went back to a game from last year to make sure I just didn't miss it, and I guess with the new surface they decided to make it standard
All the extra paint is pointless for a scrimmage. It will be there come next week.

If they don’t paint every 5 yard line, are we gonna melt? Asking for a friend

No! I love the 5 yard marks. Think we are the only stadium that does it!

Yes, Fresno St had them relatively recently but went to the 10 yd markings in 2009. FSU and Washington St are the only other schools with the H style goalposts.

It astonishes me how many LSU fans don't appreciate the unique traditions we have that set us apart from other schools.

Every 5 yards marked

Double post goalposts

WHITE JERSEYS at home

Home night games.

We should do everything possible to preserve these traditions. We should only not wear white jerseys home OR away, when forced to by an opponent. Same goes for home night games (unless required by tv) which we already do.

The arguement that the players want to wear purple does hold some water. But trust me, an easier path to the NFL through LSU matters a whole lot more. They will still come here to play.
