Well considering we are one of the least penalized teams in the SEC, I guess that must mean we have a really good coaching staff right?

IMO emotional lapses in discipline by players is an indicator of a flawed coaching style. Players must respect and fear their head coach. You will never witness a breakdown in discipline in a Saban coached team like we saw yesterday. True, I've witnessed players on the Bama team lose it (albeit very few) before, but their lapse came with a severe price. Like a minor thermo-nuclear explosion by Nick Saban. He just will NOT tolerate those stupid lapses in discipline. I watched Ed Orgeron following that stupid loss of discipline by Tyrion Davis. Davis lost his cool and cost his team an unsportsmanlike penalty. No emotional response by Ed Orgeron. I found that telling.
Plus Orgeron gave his ridiculous approval to that decision to take the foot off the gas towards the latter part of the game. Damned near lost the game on that conservative play calling.
You can scream and pound your head with your fist all you want.........players need to understand that costly lapses in discipline will not be tolerated. LSU had a lot of penalty yardage.

People, the OP is not that complicated. If we want to beat Bama, we can't repeat what we had yesterday. That's the whole point, and I don't know what's so complicated about it.
The biggest game of the year, and we have stupid unsportsmanlike conduct. Coach O should have zero tolerance for it. Saban would have something to say to a player who did that on his team. Didn't see O react like that.

Seriously? If O tried to emulate Saban we’d be 6-2 at best. Each coach has their own style. At times Muschamp has shown a bit of Saban and it doesn’t work. He comes off as a dick. You have O knowledge of O’s tolerance for penalties and mistakes. Zip it and let the coaches coach.

I love how this is your only response in the entire thread after just about everyone has pointed out to you that LSU was the least penalized team in the conference coming into the game. So way to double down on stupid, man.
And obviously everyone realizes that this team can not play like they did today all around, not just penalties, and beat Bama. So again quit being stupid. But every team, even great teams, have games like this in a season where players just go stupid (you should be familiar with that feeling on a regular basis) and make atypical mistakes combined with a flag happy crew. But what great teams do is they still find a way to grind out a win so that the mistakes don’t ruin their season, and then come out the next week and avoid repeating the issues.

Better control the players for the upcoming game. Emotions were high and penalties affected our ability to score and stop scoring drives.
