They are melting so hard right now on the Bama board!

If you want a good laugh, just head on over to the Bama board...the melt is GLORIOUS!!! It's what we went through with the Coach O departure, but times 10. The gave out free Chargers for YEARS and bags of cash, but now that the NIL and portal has evened the playing field, they want to talk about "what's wrong with the system." They even called Kirby a rat...

they are on like day 20 of melting now. it is so bad they have gumps on that board who are begging other posters to not post on the SEC RANT so they cannot be ridiculed and made fun of

The nightmare for them is just starting. They’ll start showing their true colors soon enough.

Saban completely screwed them with the timing of his retirement. Alabama's guys have 30 days to enter the portal...while the portal is closed for everyone else (except for grad students and a few other teams..namely Washington and Arizona). So there's not a lot of supply out there to replace transfers.
The signees also want out because they didn't sign to play for Kalen Deborer. They signed to play for the program constantly in the NC hunt. Bad news for Bama, pretty much all of the top HS recruits have already signed.

I will be honest I didn't realize that almost all recruits went to Bama because of Saban. I actually thought that Bama having the history and track record of being really good in football was the reason some of the recruits went there. Well it is pretty obvious now that it was almost all Saban. I know the NIL played a role but Bama isn't the only school willing to pay players so it just shows me Saban was the reason. Curious to see how their recruiting classes end up the next few years.

I'm sure they'll live. Like the roster collapse at the end of Coach O's regime, championships make the subsequent lean years palatable.

Bama has a good recruiting base so they’re always competitive.
However twice in my life they created a super recruiting system under Bryant and Saban.
But from Bryant’s last year to Saban’s rematch national championship victory, LSU-Bama was 14-14-1.
