There's legitimate concerns going forward

Everybody seems to be looking for the positives in last night's game and great, good for you. But there's real concerns for this team going forward.
I don't really know what Baker is. Sometimes he makes you feel like his squads are elite and other times he completely shits the bed in big games. Thinking he'll "get it together" feels like a pipe dream since this has been going on for 3 years now.
The O line is bad. Period. It wasn't just last night. Bah, Bordelon and Davis are absolutely a problem and we're just getting into SEC play. I don't know what the fix is there but last night is gonna be only the beginning of their struggles unless we find a way to work around their lack of talent.
I was pretty surprised at how little push the DLine got all night. Was kind of expecting it at some point as some of them are freshman, but watching Chambliss just chill in the pocket was tough to watch. Not sure why we didn't blitz a lot more.
The offensive playcalling was bizarre. Green was used sparingly and it didn't seem like we found a lot of ways to get Watkins and Wilson the ball on quick slants or drags. If we know the Oline can't hold up long, I'm not sure why we didn't have a lot of quick pass plays ready to go.
Overall, we fought hard and made it a game. But don't just get amnesia from an unacceptable first half that could've let the game get out of control.
We've got a lot of work to do and I think some of y'alls positive spin on last night is a little rose-colored glasses.

Thanks for the totally fresh facts and opinions

Spot on. I love that people are looking forward to next week’s game and moving on, but not addressing the glaring weaknesses is not a healthy way to look forward.

this is the only logical thing you posted and why they played zone that first half. They were trying to get pressure with the 4.

Baker does well when his defense attacks and plays aggressive.

You not wrong. But, we play as poorly as we could in the 1st half. Toughest place we will play, against the best QB we will face. And had the ball with a chance to tie at the end and missed a wide open chance.

They are bad at pass blocking. Run blocking is much improved as shown by he emergence of a running game.

Just cause im curious, is there any team out there who doesn't have "legitimate concerns" theres no longer any super teams out there.
I am pretty sure Texas fans were asking for Sark to get first after the 1H of the Ohio State game and I believe they are ranked #1 or #2

That was pretty accurate and are objective concerns. When you humiliate average offenses but shite the bed against good ones, that's not players. That's coaching. Baker hasn't done shite in 3 years against a real QB or real offense. There's data to support that.
I think kiffin is exactly what LSU needs. But some of you make it seem like he has the ability to make chicken soup out of chicken shite. Some of this teams more glaring deficits can be improved with coaching, but there's just no answers in some places.. the offensive line being one of them.

Because Leavitt would just throw it into the defenders’ helmets at the line.

Oh how times have changed 2 days ago the majority of this board was referring to their stadium as “a high school venue”

The offense definitely needs to add more quick hitch, slants, and screens early to get Leavitt going.

I've seen a lot of walking back in the last 24 hrs.
All of a sudden Pete Golding isn't a complete joke of a coach.
Ole miss is suddenly an elite program and the fact that we hung in with them on the road says a lot about us.
etc. etc.
I'm fine with eating this loss but it really is funny how people will do a full on 180 of their opinions to make last night seem like it was a good game for us.

Would love for your genius football mind to expand on why the other points are illogical

We got to him twice on blitzes. He torched us on all other blitzes.

As a fan addressing them on a message board does nothing. I hope the coaching staff does address them and works towards fixing the issue.
No matter how much I bitch I can’t fix the team’s issues. So, I choose to look forward to A&M and not be miserable all week.

Outside of Seaton and Moore, ihe OL is still trash and no better than the BK and BD trash OL's.
Besides Seaton, Kiffin/Gladcock didn't bring in jack shite in the Portal either; not even competent depth pieces. (Mostly OL's from HBCU, JC and smaller "Baby Boy Football" schools)
