re: There’s a realistic chance for an offseason transfer that would rock the CFB world.

The portal is packed with kids every year? Many who “made their decision”.
He was the top QB recruit touted as a generational talent, and had a pretty good season in the 2nd best conference with a 2nd year HC and 1st year OC… pair him with LK and yes, that very easily is the biggest story in the offseason

What's your metric for a "pretty good season" to include his in it?
Underwood: 186 yards/game (started), 1.5 : 1 TD:INT ratio, 61.1% completion rate
Nussmeier: 214 yards/game (started), 2.4 : 1 TD:INT ratio, 67.4% completion rate
Van Buren: 173 yards/game (started), 2.5 : 1 TD:INT ratio, 62.4% completion rate
I know he's a first-year starter compared to two second-year starters, one a senior, here. But at the same time, our two guys were bad this year. I'd expect a better baseline from someone you're flipping a shite over right now.
If he wants to come at a reasonable price, cool, but I don't buy this hype like we need to get him.

nope, the kid has a very poor side arm throwing motion. he may be able to run a bit, but his throwing is really average at best. That would be a bad move by LK

I can see him wanting to go somewhere he feels he’ll be developed better. But he’d require 3 mil. Per yr and no one will pay that now following this yr.

It would only rock the world or whatever because it would disrupt these bullshite precedents like Rashada and underwood. Put portnoy back in his bitterness

Was D2 QB Trinidad Chambliss?
You've answered your own question here. Kiffin doesn't need a $4m headache when he can pull a guy from D2 for a gas station hotdog and a 44oz fountain drink and make the top 5.

Hell no! Want to see him suffer in Michigan and their shitty play calling. You reap what you sow.

I want him back. His potential is off the charts. Anybody looking at his freshman season at Michigan and think that's just it, don't know a damn thing about football. There are people dying to get Lagway last year after he threw 12 TDs to 9 ints with 100 rush yards and no TDs. People are still dying to get him in the portal this year after throwing for less yards, way less ypa from his prior years, with 16 TDs to 14 ints. Damn near the same rush yardage with 1 rush TD. People see the upside and potential though. Both these QBs remind me of Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix. Both went to the wrong colleges out of high school.
I've mentioned it a couple times, but offer him a similar deal as we did before. LSU's final offer was something like 6-7 mill over 3 years. So 2-2.3 mill. He has to know that the 4 mill a year thing isn't happening after the way his season went. Maybe a 2 year, 5 mill deal. If he doesn't want that, go to another guy.

Considering how bad he has played and how much they had to pay him, I’d say Michigan is the one who got played.

He not worth near the money he's making! Michigan booster probably wants a refund.

quote:explain the headache part? You're basing this off a hypothetical Portnoy response? Underwood has had no indication he's leaving, but that fool put it in the air saying if he did threaten to leave "just because this is how it's done in today's college ball", then he won't be aiding anymore. According to all the articles, dude hasn't had a part it in since he first got Ellison to sit down with Underwood's folks.

I say bring him in on a 2 year, 5 mill deal.

You do realize that all the relationships he had at LSU are all gonna be fired and gone.
Posted on 12/5/25 at 9:03 pm to crotiger0307
Bro we do not want that kid. He can go fly a kite and stay in Michigan
Posted on 12/5/25 at 9:04 pm to crotiger0307
Underwood’s going to be the poster boy for getting too much $ too soon, and hindering development. What 18-19 year old with $13 million is going to wake up and work hard everyday ?

Chambliss was torching his division. Nobody knew it would translate to sec ball

If that fricker shows up here, I’m done
