Demonstrably superior. Available for hire. And for some inexplicable, mindless reason we are determined to underachieve.

Can anyone explain why this is?

Just my way of coping with the O & E Blues I guess.

There are at least three of these threads started every single day.

You are wrong. Those guys aren't better OCs. The teams they coach are more talented than LSU. Our offense is a bunch of guys who couldn't make the jv in high school.

Not only that, there's no guarantee that Ensminger is going to be the OC next season. I think we all believe that, but can we at least wait until there's an announcement or something to start freaking out? I really, really don't understand this place sometimes.

Good Lord, man. How many teams out there do you really think are more talented than LSU?

Because you are on the outside looking in.

I tell people all the time, (former walk on 2006), what goes on behind closed doors in coaches meetings, locker rooms, etc is so different that what is portrayed in the media, forums and so on.

We are all just a big gossip train out here and complaining about what we want the LSU program to be (new OC). LSU football admin doesn’t give a f*ck what you, or the media want or think. Frankly, the players don’t care either.

Coach O prefers a conservative offense. This was confirmed at A&M when he sat on the lead late in the 4th. He was too chicken to throw the ball to have any real shot at 1st down and actually finishing the game on offense. Coach O has the exact same philosophy offensively as Les Miles.

Which is why when people say the rant has some actual impact on recruiting, I just laugh at them. Nobody that actually controls wins and losses at LSU gives a shite what we say here.

Well O said our issue wasn't scheme, and he promised to hire only the best coordinators, therefore all the teams ranked ahead of us must be more talented.

It cNt be that our coach is a buffoon and that our scheme stinks.

Meh, this is different from what he was saying. High school kids reading this stuff is way different.

O's dear friend, Mike Detillier, explains it well. "Listen, Steve is calling what Ed wants in an offensive coordinator. Ed doesn’t call the plays, Steve does, but every coach hires coaches to implement their own scheme or system. That’s everywhere, every coach. Steve and Jerry Sullivan, along with the offensive coaches, come up with the game plan, but Coach O is involved with it too."

Ensminger will be the O.C. at LSU, and he will coordinate the offense exactly the way O wants it to be coordinated. They showed us at A&M that when they have a lead, they will not take a risk and throw it on 3rd down to try and get the 1st down/win the game on offense. This mentality irks me more than words can say, but it is a reality I have come to accept.

The general consensus is that O has to be somewhat smart to have ended up where he is.... But he said E was doing a good job and the offense is improving.. perhaps we should just entertain the idea that O really isn't smart? He's just an incredible case of luck or "right place right time?"

I mean.. not only did he elevate a tight end coach who hadn't run an offense in 20 years to revitalize ours.. he fired a proven OC to do it.. he gave him a nearly 500k raise.. as expected the results were bad.. and O actually called them good...

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

That's been recorded already. Pretty sure it was by Alan Jackson during his "Don't Rock The Jukebox" sessions.

LSU has always had a tough time recruiting good talent here despite people constantly shitting all over the head coaches. Explain how I'm wrong again.

We have the best OC avalible......because we ain't looking. We are at least stuck another year with E and this offense. The goal posts have been moved back several feet. "We Comin"
