The 3 worst games in LSU history:
1. Oklahoma State at Iowa State 2011
2. Alabama vs. LSU 2011 BCSNCG
3. Alabama at LSU 2012

Chavis was burned on a blitz for he game winning score. But yeah let’s blame
Him for all our troubles. He bailed miles out so many times. Miles left him hanging so much. Maybe had Mett thrown for a first down this never woulda happened eh? Let’s act like Bama
Sucked and was Troy. Lwts act like it’s easy to slow down a great team all game as if they were a crap team. Chavis definitely had his issues as all DCs do at times. But the les lovers will always use him as a scapegoat just like they did with all the OCs.

Chavis and his awful end of half scheme costed us several games. Your hatred of Miles is blinding you.

Oh and Mettenberger had already thrown for 300 yards. But miles had to run it 3 straight times. Classic miles.

KEEP PUMPING FOR LES OLE BOy! keep ignoring what Jimbo, pellini, searels and crowton said about les. Keep thinking pellini and Chavis sucked when les didn’t win. TAMU is a coach killer
It will ruin Jimbo also I feel.

I'm not pumping for Les. He himself was responsible for plenty of losses too. But this thread is about Chavis. And Chavis was a fricking bum at the end of halves.
You get irrational whenever Miles is mentioned.

i think you can effectively blame Chavis for both losses.
if 2014 is the other one you're blaming him for, I gotta disagree. I don't know what else you want from the guy than for his defense to only hold them to 13 in regulation. I guess he gets some blame, but what about our awful offense including our QB who went 8-26 for the game (not o mention less than 50% for the year).
also reluctant to put all of the 2012 loss on him. again, at some point the offense has to do better. 435 yds of offense, with no turnovers (to 331 and 2 turnovers from Bama), and the best we can do is 17 points?

The worst thing that I remember about that drive (other than the TD on the screen pass) was how our defense kept allowing the Bama receivers to get out of bounds after the completed pass. Maybe our guys were doing their very best, but I was frustrated that they weren't at least keeping the pass plays contained in bounds. Could be it's harder than it looks, I guess, when the opposing team is desperately trying to get out of bounds.

Bama got the ball back on their own 28 yard line with 1:21 left on the clock.

Okay, I’ll bite. Please tell us what they all said about Les. Use links if you can manufacture one real quick.

I felt worse after this game, and its twin in 2014, than after that debacle in the Superdome. The 2012 and 2014 games both literally snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, and Chavis carefully crafted both defeats.

You can blame Chavis ALL yyou want... bUt Miles and his stupid consevitive offense can be blamed just as much. Convert that 1st down and the game is OVER............

This wasn't the part that killed us. With 2:30 to play we are inside Bama's 30 with a 2nd & 7 and run Jeremy Hill with 8 in the box for a loss of 3. Then we run him again against 8 in the box for a gain of 4, thus resigning ourselves to kicking a field goal. Hoping to go ahead by 6 pts, so a TD beats us. Alleman misses the FG but that wouldn't have helped anyway.
Once again if Les would have had some balls and thrown the ball against a stacked box we could have gotten just one more first down and then run the clock out and gotten the win. That "lets play it ultra safe and let our defense win it" lost it this night and again in 2014 also.
Getting first downs on those nights on those two possessions would have changed the fortunes of LSU football forever IMO.

The worst part about the 2014 loss was the long pass Alabama had to get into field goal range to tie. It looked like the receiver trapped it on the ground, but there was no review initiated. Hell cbs didn't even show a replay if I remember. I couldn't believe a play that big wasn't reviewed. He may have caught it, but replay has to review that regardless.
