all the white ones maybe
Jefferson is not that good a runner. He always was a step too slow to breaking a big gain.

mitchell has a better arm than hatch. he was a QB in high school and is a better passer than DMac or Ronnie Brown
No doubt he has a better arm than Hatch, I just don't think Les/Crowton would've had the balls to actually let him throw one.

He single handedly thrashed better overall teams in HS because of his athleticism. I would have liked to see it as well.

It's a read by the quaterback to hand off or run
This. It's a read option like Pat White ran at WV.

no he's not, but he's really fast and it makes up for a lot of his deficiencies in running

and therein lies the problem, imho

We just need CS to call him out like LL cool J did to "Crowsher" in Any Given Sunday.
"WTF do you know Crowsher? You're an offensive coordinator... I don't get my touches, I don't get my paycheck."

crowton's worst play of his LSU career was 2nd and halfback run against bama in OT
:kige:
I think he was trying to come up with a play and suddenly Peveto called him from the DC booth and said "hey Wiz, remember when Ole Crazy Legs ran all over our boys in the spring game? Now is the perfect time to spring the Wild Murphy on old Nicky boy"

uhhh Yes we did. There wasn't necessarily a man in motion
then it wasn't wildx
The wildcat doesn't HAVE to have a man in motion
quote:
In the initial version of the Wildcat used in college football by Arkansas (later adapted by other college and pro teams), the "Base Wildcat" is an unbalanced set with a guard, an eligible tight end, and a slot receiver on one side of center, and a guard, two tackles next to each other, another receiver, and quarterback on the other side.

no we didn't
I think Murphy ran it in the Alabama game. Worked the first time, didn't the second and there after.

hatch could run about as well as Murphy ran.
Uh really???

The wildcat is only for teams without a decent normal offense.
yeah, i think ARK just broke another 60+ yard run on us

who was he going to pitch it to? it was a HB-direct run
No a HB direct run is when there is a QB and RB and they snap it to the RB. Wildcat doesn't have to have any motion at all. My high school uses a wildcat formation and all it is a RB at the QB spot. My coaches call that the wild cat, and I'm sure their football IQ is a lot higher than yours.

yes it does
thats the whole point of it

Or When the RB lines up at QB and runs.
quote:

Yes it does. That is the whole idea of the running back lined up at receiver. So he can come in motion to either take a handoff or not.
quote:

This is a halfback direct, not the wildcat.

Your coach doesn't know shite about the "Wildcat"
And you might want to question his IQ on football. And I'm sure his is not higher than mine

Remind me why we call it "Wild Tiger"? Isn't a tiger already wild? I understand it goes w/ the Wild Cat, when UK did it a few years ago then Ark, then Ole Miss, I know someone here is going to have a, dumb snarky comment but this is just a msg board. And sorry if germans. But I for one am not on board w/ the naming of the offense as "Wild Tiger" Why not just the "TIger Formation" that's simple and may be a little unnecessary but let's get rid of calling the offense the "Wild Tiger". Let the stupid responses begin.

I thought it was called "wildcat" because Gus M,named it so, because it was a revised K-State Offense that he revised at Arkansas. Hence "Wildcat" in honor of K-state.There was a good article on that last year if someone can pull it up.
