It is literally that poem with some Clemson references and says “ sun sets in the EASTERN sky”.

That is terrible. Is there a link to it? Can we sue them?

Been to a fair share of big time games in both “Death Valley’s”. Obviously LSU’s is louder, more electric, etc.. but Clemson’s isn’t bad for an ACC school. Comparable to Jordan hare imo

I think you're thinking of how the PMAC used to (maybe still is?) be called the "deaf dome" during the Shaq, chris jackson years

You are correct. It has literally never been called "Deaf Valley" unless some idiot didn't know what the frick they were talking about.

no, when I was a kid and when I attended LSU, TS was referred to as Deaf Valley, it just sort of morphed into Death Valley, the PMAC was just titled the "Assembly Center"

I think the name “Tiger Stadium” is just a unique and like using it. Glad we never changed it partially for a coach over time like others have in the conference.

And yet we have a 1969 Graduate and a 1979 graduate who both say it was called "Deaf Valley" when they were there. I was a student in 1980-81 and we called it "Death Valley". We also called the assembly center (wasn't called the PMAC yet) "Deaf Dome". That was one of the final four teams under Dale Brown and it was loud a all get out in there that season.

Oh you mean the Death Valley at Clemson that their team has to get on a bus and drive around the stadium to run down a hill.....get outta here.

Since I’m bored I’ll start an off-season thread but thought the other day that the argument of who is “Death Valley” is pretty stale.

Honestly I don't really care about that.

But, it's more. They use our same band music.

I'd trade "Death Valley" to have them stop using our music to be honest.

I’m a 76 graduate. Definitely Deaf Valley when I was there.

Yep. That and the Deaf Dome. I think the whole argument is silly as I believe it is all based on a mispronunciation of the old name.
Plus, Deaf Valley is better.

I think "Death" is a morph on the original but they're both cool

This is correct. Pete Finney, longtime Times Picayune and States Item sportswriter, in his book The Fighting Tigers, referred to it as Deaf Valley.

Yeah at LSU mid 80s...Deaf Valley was definitely a thing. Whether or not it was in any way and "official" thing is another point.
