If this is true, and I have no reason to doubt it, this is grounds to fire Kelly for cause.

Please elaborate? I want to know how this is grounds for firing someone for cause?

Then Kelly should be fired for playing him.

NIL money is dictating that Nuss is playing. That is the new college football. Too much money invested in him to sit on the sidelines. Can't sell chicken tenders when their local college spokesperson isn't playing. Yes, Kelly should just be fired out of principle of the matter.

This is the best response in the thread and it got no traction.

As it relates to LSU's offensive issues, not Nuss' poor passing

how long has MVB been on campus? since January? he went through spring practices and fall camp...he should know the offense by now...

So this should occur getting back up reps & not the majority reps like the starter does?

He took a big hit on the 3rd down first possession of the Ole Miss game. Left midsection/torso while throwing.

The way that the lineman helped him off the ground after that hit seemed odd to me and made me think he was still injured.

Just odd that his dad is going along with this plan, be it Kelly's or otherwise. He's a pro football QB coach & aside from knowing his son better than anyone else, he knows what such an injury, if factual, does to a QB's throwing abilities / limitations. Why would he agree with hiding such any injury; it's killing his pro profile as well as hurting his team/mates.

Ole Miss's No. 2 just ripped us a new one...

You mean the guy who is senior vs MVB who is a true sophomore? Also, Ole Miss is known to have a really simplistic offensive scheme under Kiffin which would be much easier to learn for an upperclassmen transfer. Everyone always wants to make such comparisons but not every such comparison is the same. This isn't an apples to apples comparison. It's apples to oranges.

correct, which supports my statement earlier that if our No. 2 can't come in and be capable, we have bigger issues...

I’m pretty confident in saying that we have bigger issues

Yes & in an entirely different offensive scheme. You are kidding yourself if you think his injury in fall camp didn't hamper his develop learning a new offensive system.

Its all in the plan- Baby Nuss will fal lto the Saints the way he is playing.
Learned from Prime- dont want to come out say we dont want you to draft my kid.

Or just maybe, he isn't hurt and Kelly is too dumb to give MVB a shot. Whit is in a boot, why arent we keeping this a secret

This isn't Madden where it's simple plug & play. People forget at times players are actual humans & learning & developing can come at a different pace for some. Not to mention missing crucial reps in fall camp. It was an injury to his throwing hand & who honestly knows if that is completely healed.

Can VB passing be worse than Nuss right now? VB can also run and not afraid to run instead of chunking it into triple coverage. So maybe he would help the rushing attack?

No wonder. He should not be playing because he is not effective in his current state.

learning a new offensive system.
what does that mean? knowing the route trees for WR's, the nomenclature of the play calls?

If you are talking about developing timing with starters, that is different, but I am sure he knows the system by now...it is almost October and he's been here since January.

This is somewhat negated by a QB willing to run aggressively. Not completely negated, just somewhat.
