I'm sure plenty of people bitched and moaned back then as they do every season, but that's literally what being a fan is all about
It’s kind of the opposite of being a fan actually.

Yet, you didn't see much of an emphasis to try to create pressure in the backfield.

From who? We had big, slow run stoppers at LB like Penn. Weeks flat our said in an interview that he had no clue what he was doing as a freshman. Our DEs weren’t dynamic. Our best interior guys were out for the season by then. Perkins was being used in coverage because he struggled playing inside and we needed the help after Zy Alexander went down. The secondary was Ryan, Burns and freshmen.

Please explain who besides Perkins, who the offense usually watched hard since he was the only real pass rush threat, was supposed to be blitzing, leaving the secondary completely defenseless. It was a bad situation and it was pick your poison- keep giving up tons of big plays, or at least make the other team execute and drive the ball.

We still had enough talent across the front 7 to make an impact rushing the passer in 21.

And in two years under O chasing pussy like an 18 year old, LSU went from the best season ever to a pile of shite.

Bro, it’s not binary. You can still love and support your team no matter what, never root for another team in your life and have an emotional connection with them. And then still bitch and moan and get irritated when they do stuff that drives you nuts. Literally is the definition of what a fan is.

Based off the path and what I’ve heard from him, no. He has been pretty consistent in 1-0 mindset and doing ya job, focus etc. He hasn’t shown a penchant for a pregame speech that gets his teams going.

I don’t think 4 weeks will determine the “direction of the program”
It sure is going to determine if this is another wasted season or not.

Ha…. Kelly will just talk about being elite and winning championships while failing to ever do either of those things.

Do your job, play complimentary football, blah, blah, blah.

Young/inexperienced/ not very O-line + Nuss struggles & add run game problems (from bad O-“line play and/or RB with bad reads). It’s ultimately HC responsibility when it comes to wins/losses. Not sure BKs fault Nuss has struggled. Still question is Sloan the right guy at OC & is Brad Davis is the right O-line coach?

Someone says something similar every week. No it won’t.
We’ve seen enough of the product to make a determination. Not like we’re gonna run out something completely different against Vandy. It is what it is.

____

Disagree. Nuss looked very different last week. He couldn't put any zip on the ball for a month and appears to be healthy again. We look different when he is healthy. Rather than "It is what it is", I see a different looking offense when the deep ball is a real threat. I am anxious to see how we play Saturday, and if we attack deep.
