Ever hear of this guy? This is just ONE donor. LSU wishes they had a donor like this.
LINK

T.Boone Pickens' gift remains the largest donation to a university's athletic program in collegiate history. His total contributions to OSU come to over $400 million. Over $265 million, or 66%, of his donations have been towards athletics. Pickens also has made substantial academic gifts to Oklahoma State

Because despite what the pumpers think....there is a grain of truth in some of what he says....that would be why.

I hope he stays, but come on, what would you expect a coach to tell a committed recruit and his family? "Come play for LSU. Oh, and by the way, I wont be there next year?"

I'm sorry, but I don't think Miles is like that. Why even go see Toliver just to lie to him? Did he believe they would never ask? He also visited 5 star Malik Jefferson. Was he just going to lie to him about staying?

Come on now guy. If Miles left to build Michigan back up, the last thing he would want, is 5 star recruits saying that he lied to them about staying at LSU.

It's so blinding obvious. I'm floored that anyone thinks it is remotely possible that he would leave.

That Michigan can do better than Miles?

There is zero truth to that. Michigan has had 6 years to find someone better.

Also, REAL news sources reported he was offered in 07 and is on their short list.

Correct on both. Also, in '10 Les had his agent preempt and send the message he wasn't interested and the UM AD still flew to BR to speak to him.

So you ave to go back into the early 80s or 70s to find a sniff of success at OSU. Miles comes in and wins right away. Yet LSU made Miles
you have to go back 15 years before Miles just to find 2 consecutive winning seasons at OSU. He did it in 3 seasons.

Honestly...whether or not your little butthut routine started out being genuine, you've long ago gone way past the point of no return into Rexland levels of trollery.

Why you haven't been put in timeout yet for essentially trying your damnedest to tear shite down is fairly hard to understand, assuming the owners have more loyalty to LSU then merely hits. Others have been banned for being far less of a anal fissure.

I vote for good 1st post. I mostly agree. But I also admit to being very frustrated with this year's offense

Thanks - I agree with your frustration but I can assure you - a kicker that can't kick it in the middle of the field and a D that doesn't hold for 54 secs will hurt for a while!

in his five year tenure at oky st he coached a team that hadn't went to a bowl in 6 years he took them to a bowle every year and won them all ! He also beat oklahome two years running when they where Oklahoma nick didn't do any thing lose at his schools ,Miles is the best by far !

In reality, he isnt being offered the job. Michigan recognizes they can do WAY WAY better.

Of course but the haters keep saying he's going. Even though they think he's a shitty coach. Just doesn't make sense. You can't say he's a bad coach, then say someone is going to hire him away. Doesnt work like that.

except Miles was at OSU for 4 years and went 4-7 his first year. good try, though.

eta: he was also 1-2 in his bowl games at OSU.

Miles knows that he's in the perfect situation. And that will always breed complacency. I'm not denying that he's been a great coach for LSU, but there is also no denying that we are trending downwards.
Hopefully we can turn it around, but a more likely scenario is that we're still pointing at a decade old national championship as reason to keep our 4-4 SEC coach.

This whole post is full of stupid. That 4-4 SEC coach has won 70% of his SEC games in his 10 years here. Go be a shitty fan of some other school.

Not sure why you're calling this out.. but..
70 percent over 10 years = "great coach for LSU"
75 percent in 2012, 62 percent in 2013, 50 percent in 2014 = "trending downwards"
Hope we turn it around, but until a miracle at QB happens, I see that as unlikely.
