Why you think Saban is interested? Seriously how many coaches are quantifiably "WAY WAY better" than Miles? Take off your hating Miles glasses for a minute and look around. Miles is a top coach and there are few better than him.

Weird how these rumors get started, Miles never was going anywhere. I suppose it was wishful thinking on the part of a few.

. Probably a 2 loss maybe 3 loss program consistently
just like he is at LSU.
2-3 losses per year!

Miles would have Michigan conpeting and challenging in the big 10. Very much so. Probably a 2 loss maybe 3 loss program consistently there which is far better than their current.
While CptBengal is truly off the reservation with regards to Les, there is no proof that Miles would have done any better than either of those two previous hires.
Before coming to a loaded LSU team, Les was 28-21 at OSU, and while he's had a pretty damn good run at LSU, it doesn't guarantee anything.
Rich Rod has proven to be a great coach rebounding at Arizona, and Hoke wasn't a horrible coach prior to taking the UM job. Maybe that job is just toxic, but people don't think about that.
There is no guarantee that Miles will do any better, so I love people making that assumption.

Saban called a press conference and said he wasn't going...and we saw how that turned out.
Lot of coaches say things. I do think it is trending down though. Les could have came out publicly and denied wanting to leave but he didn't.

Miles was 28-21 before coming to a program with the money ,recruiting, and resources of LSU.
LSU made miles.
let me repeat that......
LSU MADE miles.

Not going to happen. This man of integrity can't take a chance getting more money from LSU.

Hey look, CptBengal being a pathetic bitch, what's new?

I don't find it weird at all. Miles is a highly successful HC who happens to be a Mich. grad and who has been approached before by Mich.
I do agree that at 61 its pretty unlikely he would want to start over again at a program which seems to have internal problems going on and has been on the ropes almost a decade.
With the way Fla. and Neb. went, it seems Mich. is going to end up going low profile coach as well.

So LSU revolutionized the careers of our last 2 HC's????
What groundbreaking stuff there.

He kind of gave us that look of ‘I would be stupid to leave’.
Miles knows that he's in the perfect situation. And that will always breed complacency. I'm not denying that he's been a great coach for LSU, but there is also no denying that we are trending downwards.
Hopefully we can turn it around, but a more likely scenario is that we're still pointing at a decade old national championship as reason to keep our 4-4 SEC coach.
