The surprise of the members here of Sunday/s game is surprising. BK is a good coach, but not a great coach. He will give you 9-10 wins per season but could never win the "big one". This team lacks leadership and discipline-fumbled punt returns, missed blocking assignments, and freshmen texting their high school buddies the name of the starting quarterback before it's announced. In many fashions, it is a Les Miles redo.

So, win 1 championship and play for another over the next 6 years?

Agreed on Kelly. Good not great. Not progressive enough for the modern game.

But he is inheriting a rotten culture. Let's see him get a full roster of his players before passing judgment.

Did anybody tell you that this was the first game. Instant gratification is a killer my friend. Believe in the process. !!!!

Did you see these things happening at ND when BK was there? We have to give it time.

BK is at LSU because he believes he is a great coach who was simply at a program that could not get over the top due to recruiting limitations. Before the clock ran out on him, he wanted to take a shot at the big time. So here he is. Let's see if he was right to believe in himself. I'm betting BK is right and you are wrong.

Les Miles and Ed O were terrible coaches and they won National Championships we don't need him to be great, just better and more consistant than his predecessors.

As far as your lack of leadership claim, give me one example other than Boutte whining where this team showed a lack of leadership. On the flip side, I can recall several instances where players showed great leadership.
1.) Daniels coming over to Boutte after his lack of effort on what could have been a touchdown. Daniels didn't yell at him or go off and complain to other teammates. He went over to him and spoke to him calmly so that they could get on the same page. That's leadership.
2.) After the second muffed punt, several players helped a distraught Naibers off the field and helped him refocus on the sideline... leadership.
3.) No one gave up, ever. They were down 14 with roughly 5-6 minutes left in the game and they almost pulled off the improbable comeback. In years past this team would have packed it in early in the 4th quarter or wouldn't have had the confidence to rally from that deficit... leadership.

You sir are an overreacting idiot. The majority of the mistakes/misques that LSU made are easily correctable with some additional film study and adjustments. The difference with BK is that he is more than capable of fixing these issues whereas Les and O either couldn't or wouldn't.

Some of you people are going to be downright suicidal by the end of the season. Get out and get some vitamin D or take some Xanax. We were never going to win the championship this season. There's alot to be fixed, and it'd going to take more than a season.

Yep the list of idiots in this board is astounding. My guess is they are still living with their parents and either have their head up their arse or their face in the latest PlayStation game to fully understand exactly how bad off LSU is / was from what the previous staff did to burn this thing down.

Over two years ago, I made this post. I was called numerous insulting names by people who I have never met. So, I patiently sat back and let my original post aged like a very nice fine wine.
