The Stingley Interception In The Second

We didn’t get the call, but that was an out of this world play. He’s the best corner we have and will be an absolute beast for three years.

Guy will win a game or two for us this year.

He’s almost on the PP7 level for a freshman coming in. Kid will be scary. He was on an island with Texas’ top, SENIOR, wideout and held it down,

PP7 was warming the bench in game 2 of his freshman campaign
Stingley was locking down early round NFL draft picks

And Texas chose to go after our other CB, you know, the All American!

I thought the play where he was able to control his body enough to cut on front of the receiver and swat the ball away with his left hand was the play. That was awesome.

Texas receiver pushed off on that play also...

That was , more likely than not, an interception. Just watching it again. Huge game changer if we got the call.

Yeah I just watched it again and I don’t think it hit the ground. Hell of an athletic effort by Stingley

Even if the ball touches the ground, it was still an interception because he controlled it throughout the catch.

He will be in the NFL HOF one day, sweet poetic justice for what happened to his grandfather, Daryl Stingley. I don't hear commentators mention that much. Daryl was a very good receiver that would have had a good NFL career. What happened to him was so sad. Glad his grandson is balling out and will take the Stingley name where it should be.

Lots of posters saying it definitely hit the ground. Can we get a pic of it clearly touching the ground because I never saw it live or in the replay on dvr. Doesnt matter now but I still think it was an INT.

I'll see what I can do, but there is an absolute clear angle where it touched the ground.

I can see it ruled incomplete, but how the hell could they rule that a completion on the field when it's clear the receiver didn't maintain control through contact with the ground (since Stingley had it)?

You gonna need to summon some witchcraft cause there is no evidence showing the ball onthe ground.

Yep basically shut a guy that will likely be a 1st round pick

Ball hit the ground but it still was an awesome play
