I want three traditional SEC teams none of the newcomers.
Likelihood of A&M is quite high. We've played them a ton historically and they aren't taking Texas as a permanent. We've also played Ole Miss (obviously) and MSU (not as obvious) a shitload in history.
Ole Miss, MSU, A&M
or
Ole Miss, Arkansas, A&M
This is interesting and I think history will be respected in this process somewhat. Things that stand out bolded. We have no history with Oklahoma at all. We have a shitload with MSU/Ole Miss, and a lot more with A&M than people realize considering they're new to our conference. We used to play them every year.
OPPONENT - TOTAL GAMES - FIRST MEETING
Alabama - 85 - 1895
Arkansas - 66 - 1901
Auburn - 55 - 1901
Florida - 67 - 1937
Georgia - 32 - 1928
Kentucky - 57 - 1949
Mississippi State - 114 - 1896
Missouri - 3 - 1978
Oklahoma - 3 - 1950
Ole Miss - 109 - 1894
South Carolina - 22 - 1930
Tennessee - 33 - 1925
Texas - 18 - 1896
Texas A&M - 59 - 1899
Vanderbilt - 32 - 1902

My guess is Arkansas, A&M, Ole Miss
Ole Miss for sure. We're already a permanent opponent with A&M, so likely them as well. The last one is up in the air, but R-Kansas really does not like us, so it might as well be them. That's my answer as well.

Yeah, Mississippi State is our most frequently played game, and outside of Ole Miss, I think we're their most played game as well. A lot of history there.

Ole Miss, A&M and Arkansas
I wish Bama, Auburn and A&M

Why wouldn't Texas and A&M be a perm opponent? That seems more likely than almost any other permanent opponent matchup in the SEC.

You believe Texas AM wont have Texas as there permanent even though they've played each other 100+ times?

Auburn will have Bama and Georgia. Bama will have Auburn and Tennessee. Those are non-negotiable, and I don't think we'll be filling the 3rd spot for either of them. I'm guessing we'll have Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Arkansas.

Will not be Bama.
They will not cancel Bama/Auburn or Bama/UT and Bama will not get Auburn/UT/LSU. It will be Vandy/MSU/Kentucky for their 3rd.
The LSU - Bama game has been the league's highest rated TV game for the last decade plus. Doubt the SEC will give that up.

Let's see who bama gets. Will the SEC home office continue to give bama EVERY advantage possible?
It'll be Auburn, Tennessee and probably Vandy

I think we get Ole Miss, Texas AM, and Bama.

Heard we're not going getting Alabama. My guess would be Ole Miss, A&M and either Arkansas or Florida for the 3rd one.

It pretty much comes down to who plays who in the final week of the season. LSU-Oklahoma and Arkansas-Missouri makes way more sense than LSU-Arkansaa and Oklahoma-Missouri.
I think it's the exact opposite. OU/MIZZ shared a conference from 1919-2012. It would also give them the option to resume Bedlam and KU/Mizz without disturbing the rest of the SEC schedule.
LSU/ARK are the only SEC teams without an obvious opponent for rivalry week, which is why I think they've always been a great match.

Because the SEC loves LSU, they will have them play Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss permanently.

The reason LSU will not have Bama is because Bama will want Auburn and Tennessee for sure. They will not want a third top tier team for their annual opponent
Based on records over the last 10-15 years, Tennessee is not in the top tier. And as much as you guys like to think Alabama owns the SEC, this is something that had to be approved by a majority of SEC schools. It doesn’t matter what they want.

Arkansas is going to get Texas as their one top tier opponent. LSU can alternate playing Oklahoma and Arkansas the final week of the season. They don’t have to force a rivalry.

Someone in the SEC home office needs to review the meaning of the word permanent.
The release says they will be called “annual opponents”, not permanent.

Because Texas A&M will contest the shite out of it. That's the one team that school will lobby against playing annually to the SEC.
I bet A&M gets something like LSU, Mizzou, OU or LSU, Arky, OU.
Just a guess, but they really don't want to be associated with Texas. Clawed and scraped to get out of the Big 12 because of Texas' influence. If Texas didn't play in the SEC now, I bet A&M wouldn't ever play them again in the regular season in our lifetimes.

While Ole Miss / Bama / Florida would be epic, odds seem to be favoring Ole Miss / A&M / OU-Florida-Bama in that order of likelihood.
They have already announced Arky-Missou is a go and Arky will get Texas which leaves A&M / OU / Miss State (easier) ahead of us for the Hogs. Boot trophy goes into storage for 2 years…
As good as the tv ratings are for Bama-LSU, it is unlikely they’ll stick Bama with Auburn / Ten / LSU. Bring on the Gata and their Tom Petty!

It won't be Bama. Ole Miss is not an annual doormat. They won't give us Ole Miss / A&M / OU or Florida, as they'll try to balance it. That's why I keep going back to Miss St. Also our most played opponent of all time, ton of history.
A&M / Ole Miss / Miss St is my official guess.
What if they just frick it all up and it's completely random?
