LSU has 5 national titles. The better question is should LSU really have 6 or 7?
LSU has a rightful claim to the 1936 National Championship, and technically if LSU did it the way other schools do, LSU could claim 2011 as well.

The best thing Payton ever did for Nielsen’s career was block him from jumping on orgeron’s sinking ship.
