The removal of Les is one of the greatest LSU sports moments of my life.

Single handedly the most important firing in lsu history, he needed to go sooner, but thank God he did. Miles defenders will claim a natty but he won those with Saban players. 2011 was the worst botched season of perfection ever.

The simple fact of the matter is nobody and I mean nobody hired Les Miles after he got canned at LSU. That speaks volumes. You telling me the head coach at LSU who won a natty and so many of his players went to the nfl (that he underused), and NOT ONE decent team hired him

It needed to happen

It should have happened Early

Greatest LSU Sports moments?

The man won a NC and over 100 games. I was Glad it happened but it wasn’t a great moment it was depressing to watch him collapse like that.

Not even close, Archer and Hallman getting fired was much more satisfying, you could only wish for 8-4 by the end of Archer and Curley's tenure.

Says a lot about you, and not in a good way. You'll have plenty of.company on this board though.

And O won with Les's by that logic.

It was certainly time but I’m not going to pretend like he was the worst coach ever like some of you all do. He had many faults but did a lot of good things and the way many of you all continue to bring him up for no reason is strange.

It was not a “great moment” but a necessary moment, delayed by Jindal and F King a-hole.
I found it depressing that LSU was regressing but not for Miles personally. He earned his fate by his stubborn failure to change, poor roster management, bungling game management and glib, incoherent coach speech.

What does it say about you that you trashed coach O daily for months before the 2019 season?

O brought in Joe Burrow and Brady

That’s what won the national championship

The skilled players of any LSU team over the last 10-15 years are pretty much equal

Had he been gone sooner O wouldn’t have had the chance to fill in and win the games he did in the middle of the season and wouldn’t have been the replacement. Then the dominoes don’t fall for the 2019 season to happen. I’d rather be thankful that everything happened the way it did for LSU to have tGOAT season.

Should have been earlier, that Wisconsin game in Green Bay was the last straw.

I got so fricked up during and after that 2016 Auburn game at my future in-laws. The next day, I'm on the toilet at 9:30am paying for it when I log into the rant to find that he was fired. I ran out of the bathroom pants around my ankles yelling and jumping for joy. Surprised my wife married me after that. I had been calling for it for 2 years at that point.

At first he was fired, and I was glad.
Then we hired Coach O, and I was sad.
Then I saw the greatest season of LSU football ever, and I was glad again.
Then a global pandemic (probably) cancelled the following season, and I was sad again.

......I dunno what to feel.....
