Idgaf who you support, but I know die hard USL fans like Jay Walker always defended Less, bc he knew that buffoon held LSU down. You should've seen their melt on FB after the CFP, biblical proportions of penis envy

He also kept defending Ricky Bustle after it was clear he couldn’t get Cajuns over the .500 mark, and after losing seasons.

Jay Walker always defends keeping coaches. Not a good example.

Again, I agree LSU needed to part ways with Les Miles. The game had passed him by. My contention is that his firing was shouldn’t be viewed as some celebritory moment by LSU fans who want to forget what he accomplished.

His "accomplishments": backing into the only two-loss national championship ever and two SEC titles weren't remotely commensurate for what he was paid and the talent and resources at hand. He made more than probably any coach other than Saban in exchange for being dead weight on what should be a perennial contender, last year proved that. Do you people have amnesia? We were outscored by Arkansas by a combined score of 48-14 in Piles' 10th and 11th seasons here. He sucked!

DiNardo should get a lot of the credit for this if we are being honest. Neither Saban nor Miles walked into empty closets as far as talent is concerned.

There is no doubt that Dinardo began to stem the tide but Saban was erecting a wall. Saban inherited Davey, Reed, Damian and Brady James, DD, Toe, Jarvis Green, Clark, T Faulk so the cupboard was not bare but we had no secondary. Those guys went 3-8 in ‘99. Saban salvaged the 2000 class.
Miles was left with Jamarcus, Skylar, Bowe, Davis, Whitworth, Williams, Broussard, Landry, Dorsey, Addai, Steltz, Hester, Doucet, T Jackson, Flynn, Favorite, Zenon, Niswanger, etc.

Go look at the early years of Miles. 05,06....

His coaching and game management was never good. Going for it 5 times on 4th down is great when it goes in your favor, but simulate that over 100 games, and I bet you are less than 50%.

More times than not that Fla game is another loss and another blown season with a loaded team.

This is just one glaring example.
