The way I look at it, is it's 7 Saturdays out of the year. I'm 24 years old, Sat in the same seat since I was 6 years old and I can count on one hand the number of games I've missed/left early. I stay til the end bc what else do i have better to do on a Saturday night in the Fall? I can go to bars after or before the game. I charish my times in Tiger Stadium. Are the consession stand prices high? Hell yea they are, That's why I get my traditional Coke and Peanuts. Eat before the game people. Stop finding crap to complain about, just say how it really is. You're lazy and don't feel like moving from the couch.

When I was 24 I felt the same way you do. My life revolved around 8 saturdays in the fall. I’m a few years older now and my priorities have changed. I have a family I have a career (not saying you don’t but I didn’t at 24) that come before LSU football. I still love it and watch every game but it’s not the be all end all it used to be in my life. I still like going out to 1 maybe 2 games a year and have a great time and like I said in my post I don’t complain because I know what it is going into it.

The answer is beer.

And it's definitely going to happen, it's just a matter of when.

I think this will help, especially in the short term if it is done right, but I don’t think it will solve the problem.

Why do fans from other schools with traffic and bad concessions and heat or cold stay?

What fan base would that be?

I went to the Yankees vs Red Sox Friday night. I’m not a huge fan of either team and the stadium experience is way better than Tiger stadium. I could order food and beer to my seat. Bathroom lines were very short. I took the train back to my hotel and was at my hotel in 30 minutes.

I leave LSU games early because tiger stadium doesn’t have any of these things.

Then why go at all? Sounds like you have better things to do on a fall Saturday, so why bother going to Tiger Stadium to begin with if you don’t have time for it?

There's not 1 particular issue you can point to that makes LSU fans leave early. It's in fact many issues. Parking, traffic, campus changes, fairweather fans, pussy fans, Louisiana economic issues(yes this too), generational changes with the older fanbase dying off, changing culture, LSU football struggles in recent years, rise of HD programming making less people go to games, ticket prices, concession prices, tailgating feels less welcoming now, alcohol, etc. etc.

Plenty of other issues. All this accumulated over several years and now has taken its toll on a once proud fanbase that's a shell of what it use to be. I'm a fairly young LSU fan but I can't even recognize the campus culture during gameday compared to what it was 10 years ago. Anyone who says otherwise is in denial. Just to be clear, this isn't exclusive to LSU but it seems to be a problem across the entire country in college football.

Well if you don’t like it baw, you can leave! What a backwards way of thinking. Just improve the damn experience like EVERY successful entertainment venue across the world does.

I agree with improving the experience in TS but none one the bitches on that list would ever deter me from attending a game anywhere. If you want to talk about the experience lets talk about seat view, cost, dead time entertainment, presentation, and the product on the field.
IDGAF about the fat bastards in the concession line. I did not go to TS or any other stadium or arena to judge food quality.

All day tailgating (it's as big as the game to some) and the fact that all games are now on HD TV.

They are posers and aren't really there for the football, just the experience?

They ran out of water and people were passing out during the Auburn game.

It was way too hot. I had to go chill on the ramp during halftime.

Could be because a lot of bars in Tigerland have "pay $5-10 at the door and you drink for free during LSU events." Which goes along with the alcohol point.

day of the big stadium is just about over.

Feel bad for LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Penn State, and any other stadium over 93,000 capacity.

Yeah I guess Jerry's World and others like that are done after this year. The experience has to be good in the stadium regardless of the play on the field. TS does not have that. In fact, as soon as game play suffers the TS experience does more so. Couple that with traffic and it becomes an exodus. One is easier to solve than the other.
