They leave because they're pussies, and tailgating is more important then the game. Oh and beat the traffic

I don’t think the issue is that the games are too early or go on too late—it’s that games are 4-5 hours long. You can watch three goddamn soccer games in that span, halftime included; baseball games don’t even have a clock and you could watch a double-header of two short games in that amount of time, or even an extra innings game; 18 holes of golf; two hockey games; two fricking marathons; or a Magnus Carlsen chess game. I stay for the entire game, win or lose, but the duration of televised games today is absurd.

That right there.

Live games are boring as shite. College football just isn't formatted for watching live anymore. There are too many time outs that last too long. It's one thing when you get a commercial break at home, you can make it to the bathroom or get a beer, or even tend the grill, in the time it takes for a commercial break, but not in the stadium. Add to the fact that during a break in the stadium, you don't even get to hear one of the best bands in the land anymore, you have to hear bullshite canned music piped in, and it's virtually intolerable.

I used to have season tickets, and I live within 3 miles of the stadium. When I ride my bike to the games, I can get home before they get to the game stats on the radio. So parking/traffic isn't even an issue for me, it's the modern stadium experience. Hell, sometimes I even ride my bike to campus for the tailgating, and then come home to watch the game.

It's neither alcohol nor concessions. It's a combination of traffic, busy life and exaustion from having to be there all day due to...parking.

Un bearable heat for day games. Awful traffic for night games. Concessions are terrible both quality and length of lines. Home schedule has not been very good. This year better. The early made for TV game at a neutral site takes away another good home game. The excruciating nonsense of a CLM offense with JJ or AJ or BH and or DE at the controls. Anyway the team is getting better. Day games and concessions and traffic I am sure will not.

The fan base is totally different now than it was back in the 60's 70's and 80's....some of its due to tv and day games, the sec network having every game on and the internet.

The accessibility of games on TV as well as the advent of HD has cheapened the in person experience.

The concessions don’t bring people in, but they could keep people there. It’s not just the quality, it’s the price. 7 dollars for a drink that costs them 30 cents? You bring a family of four and you’re dropping at least 100 on food and beverage in addition to tickets and parking.

The biggest thing IMO is that we all walk around with mini TV’s in our pocket with the Watch ESPN App. We as a society live/move in quicker bursts of time. While the Mrs/gf/wife for the night etc, got her Snapchat at the game, 5 hours later, she’s no longer interested in the game especially if her social media isn’t getting a lot of hits. So ... they poke their lip out and their so/date counterpart weighs the incessant griping / fear of not getting any later to being able to watch the end on their phone. The ease of access to anything is why we don’t necessarily have to be there the whole time. I don’t necessarily agree with it but it just is.

With that being said, when I go to a game I’m prepared to be there for the duration and I don’t leave unless we’re losing badly.

The booze issue is bullshite. My Dad and Uncle used me as a child to smuggle in a 5th of bourbon because no one would suspect a 12 year old bootlegging.

There was no internet with ESPN in your pockets back in the day. Traffic sucked in the 80’s too; not as bad but it was still an issue. It’s just the access in your pocket now.

Traffic. At least for me it is.

Just kidding. I don't leave at halftime.

None of that bothers me, it's just sitting there too long with nothing happening - while everyone waits for the guy in the red hat to let what we're all there for to resume.

And they still don't get it. They keep changing the rules in an effort to 'shorten the game', but all they're doing is shortening the action, while increasing commercials so the game still lasts for over 3 hours.

The atmosphere isn’t the same.

-The piped in music and less band/fan interaction is terrible.
-The product on field hasn’t been very exciting to watch.
-The OOC games are terrible and boring, especially when we’re losing to inferior teams now.

-The traffic (put all those other reasons together and this becomes the number 1 factor people leave early.)

Been to a ton of games, left a few early, mostly in college, because it was hot as shite, I was out of booze and catching a hangover, went to the bar instead.
Now I stay the whole time, because the traffic isn’t that bad at the end

There isn't one reason to blame, LSU has done everything it can to run off the old school die hards.
There hasn't been a single decision made about game day in the past 20 years that hasn't run more people off. TAF and LSU Athletics is a shite show and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.
I'll admit they are making money hand over fist, which is their only goal, but they are running off the fan base at an alarming rate.

Tiger Stadium is freaking hot which is why we prefer night games. Take in the fact that concessions suck, TVS are outdated and the lines are outrageous, the game experience is better from your tailgate or your tv. TS has to improve their experience for the fans in order to keep them there all four quarters minus big games like vs Bama, Auburn etc (those games stay packed regardless).

This is the biggest pile of Tiddy Baby whining bull shite I have ever seen. Tigers dont need fans like you. Invest in a good flatscreen and STFU. I will be there because I love LSU football.

This is the same reasoning people use when someone asks the question of why people leave Louisiana for greener pastures.

Well if you don’t like it baw, you can leave! What a backwards way of thinking. Just improve the damn experience like EVERY successful entertainment venue across the world does.

Well no shite he blasted the Bama fans. That's exactly why I said he can pretty much say anything he wants and get away with it.

TS has to improve their experience for the fans

This, and save the "winning on the field keeps buts in seats". Winning/Losing is part of the experience, yes, but there are a million and one things LSU could do better for its fans in that stadium to increase energy, engagement and overall satisfaction when attending games.

A fan that’s been to lots of venues and events and expects (justifiably) a better experience in TS relative to the cost of attendance. The Horror!!!!
