Reply from Matt House...lesson learned!

House is a enigma here. He had a horrendous game plan vs FSU and we gave up third down all night while not playing Perkins, he then turns it around with a easy game, a great second half vs state, a shut out, and adjust at half bs auburn. Then we have a game plan vs UT that removes our best defensive player and he gives up an assisted 40 points.
House has potential to be good and has shown he can adjust but he didn’t Saturday. I think he has more hope than Denbrock but his refusal to play our best player is puzzling.

That IS a problem. Hard to win consistently even with a Joe Burrow team when you give up 40 POINTS. Anyone remember the Texas game? (Yeah we won, but don't tell me you were sure we were going to until AT LEAST 3rd and 17.)
This defense doesn't give up 40 points if the offense and special teams do their jobs. That's not to say the defense can't play better. Thry can.

First off believe it or not Tennessee was the “Team”.
Secondly the O, D and ST’s didn’t execute the plays well enough.
Contrary to popular belief our Talent level is down and have to play young and inexperienced players.
Third, we had to play from behind and put ourselves into predictable plays.
Four, either the offensive line or RB’s aren’t good or both. I think they are but don’t stick with it enough.
Five, the QB couldn’t make momentum, big game plays.
Six, the coaching staff blew it.
I saw the Linebacker core depth and talent level was inadequate two and a half years ago. You need size and speed in the SEC. Looking at the recruiting for next year so far and it doesn’t promising. We are spoiled getting 5* recruits in the secondary and we had to go to the transfer portal just to field enough CB’s.
Heck we can’t play a true 4-3 because of depth of interior linemen and can’t play a true 3-4 because we can’t field enough good linebackers. (Meaning size, speed and brains or experienced)

That about sums it up and, puts more powder behind my bullet.

The staff got behind early and they didn't know what to do.
Exactly. Kelly saying its on the coaching staff means just that.
