Subtract the buyout. Is the product worth $1 million a year?

The problem is two fold:

1. Nobody at LSU tells it how it is. There's nobody there with a critical, reasoned eye and perspective.

Someone to go "hey, maybe we should take a wait and see approach."

No, it's always lets hurry up and give you whatever you ask for because we're so insecure as a University it permeates our culture.

2. The everyday fan is an idiot. I'm not talking educated in X and Os. I'm talking just plain every day idiot. "Well Orgeron is one of us" "He know how to recruit LA boys". They have no idea what a leader looks like. They just want people who they think they'd like to drink/hangout with. Our culture glorifies idiots. Our politics are full of idiots. Our university is populated with idiot administrators. Are our fans supposed to be geniuses?

I had sex on the Tiger Stadium 50 yd line in 1999. Left my used condom there.

What I put on the field was worth more than what O does.

Kim

Néw BB coach

Jimbo is 2-1 versus O. I’d say Jimbo was a pretty good hire and trending in the right direction.

Orgeron m’s contract is not 8.6 no matter what people say. It is incentive based and he won’t get some of those incentives for damn sure.

No, of course LSU isn’t getting anywhere near what it’s paying for, and it hasn’t even come close since his last giant pay increase.

What do you pay your coordinators? Ed deserves $1 more just so head coach makes most.

His entire extension and contract was a mistake.

Orgeron’s new contract began on Jan. 14 2020 and expires Dec. 31, 2025.

Orgeron’s buyout equals out to 70% of the salary remaining on the entire contract. If LSU were to terminate Orgeron’s contract in the first year, his buyout would be about $27 million; in the second year, about $21 million; in the third, $16.8 million; in the fourth, $12.6 million; in the fifth, $8.4 million; and in the final year, $4.2 million.

In total, the contract is worth $41 million before bonuses.

Buyout at end of each season:
End 2021- $16.8 mil
End 2022 - $12.6 mil
End 2023 - $8.4 mil
End 2024 - $4.2 mil
End 2025 - $0

It’s actually an even simpler question than that.

Is what Coach O putting on the field worth my time or money?

Would you feel better if we were spending only $500,000 a year and still sucking?
