Max looked better last season with Ensminger calling plays. In the last 2 games we were using back-ups at RB, had essentially the same WRs and TE but Max looked more comfortable as a true FR.

Peetz is a first time play caller. Plays are coming in too slow, adjustments aren't being made and there is no flow to the play calling. Boutte made mention of this as well. We have two coordinators learning on the job. One would be bad, but two is a disaster.

My biggest concern coming into the season was the unknowns on the staff. If they were able to implement their system and made in game adjustments appropriately I thought we would be a 10 win team. If not? Here we are and since the HC has no ability to fix anything on either side of the ball I don't see improvement coming anytime soon. I don't blame the players. This is a poorly coached team.

Max doesn’t want to push the ball downfield unless it’s wide open. It was the same story last year against Florida and ole Miss. He hit the deep throw on the coverage bust by Florida to Boutte, and then intermediate passes with run after catch against ole miss

Peetz and the OL certainly deserve a lot of the blame, but Max is at fault too

I don’t know why they call it the joe Brady offense. All of 2019, they called it the Ensminger offense.

It’s both of them. Max has not played well and has even said so. He can’t be absolved of his poor decisions and bad throws.

Peetz play calling has been mediocre, OL play has been below average, however, Max have had some opportunities to make plays, but he seems to retreat in the pocket instead of stepping up.

He left several plays on the field the last two weeks.

Why in the world would Joe Brady push Peetz away from Carolina
There had to be a reason why Brady thought he was expendable enough to recommend him to O
NFL teams don't give away coaches
Look at what Saints did to keep their guys last off season
Plus they also took Richard who LSU also wanted as def coord

Bottom line, Carolina was ok with letting Peetz walk and our def coord was around the 3/4 choice

Maybe Carolina was going to dump Peetz, but instead of him being jobless, Brady duped CEO into hiring him!

OL can't block

Play calling has been slow and below par. Peetz is learning... but he shouldn't be learning to call plays at a place like LSU

Max is playing timid

All of those are true. It's not one thing.

I agree Max has missed plays, but last season he made plays while getting hit, felt pressure and navigated the pocket well and showed more poise.

The difference this season is the guy calling the plays. Also, last season everytime Max left the field Russ Callaway sat down with him and went over plays and reads. I'm not sure who's filling that role now.

Nussmeier pushed it down the field.

Max has the weakest arm of the 3 QBs. This is why he doesn’t push it down the field.

Here's a thought...just pull out the game tape of 2019 and run those same plays. I'm sure we still have most of those plays in the playbook. It would be just like having Brady back in the booth.
