Way too many routes. Half our pass plays are 1 receiver routes.

Honestly, for me it was the very first three and out.

2 unsuccessful passes and a run for nothing. We had all summer to practice those first few scripted plays and we could complete one.

Ill never understand why we didn't run the wheels off of LF.

First 3 and out was two fournette runs and a read option reverse where Harris should have given it up.

That works in triple option or veer...but we don't run that shite. It's so frustrating not letting LF match up against smaller DB's in space . instead we crowd the line , telegraph run, and they put their jumbo d personnel in.

There's no strategy. It's bang against brick wall rinse repeat

I think that anytime it's 4th and short and we are around the 50 we should be going for it.

Well it should have been the very first play. Toss dive to the left. Why not play action and throw it? Everyone in the world knew it was a run.

It was scripted. Just entertainment TV. Right?

I said before the game started the first series will tell us if there were any changes. 1st series and the same old stuff nothing different. This seasons offense will be the same as last year.

That's my problem now Juicy: it's no longer entertaining. It's predictable and so are the results.

Know what was entertaining? UGA vs UNC, USM vs KY, Bama blasting USC with a Fr QB and INNOVATIVE offense, AU vs Clem and App St vs UT.

That's solid entertainment. Watching LSU load the field with NFL talent only to run the same 7 plays we have run for decades is no longer entertains me. I'll simply change the channel like I've been doing!

I honestly thought that would have been a good opportunity to go with the fullback dive since everyone would be keying on fournette

That would have been different and a nice twist to the formation.

But that requires thought and innovation apparently.

Seriously? THAT'S when it hit you? 12 years into his tenure and not a god damned thing has changed in 12 years and THAT'S when it hit you? Well, welcome to the party, I guess. There's not much beer left and all the hot girls have already gone home with whoever they are going home with, but by all means you are welcome to whatever leftovers you can find. There are three ahead of you in line for who gets to crash on the sofa.

Easy Nuts,

I'm also a former registered Dem and if memory serves from your political posts.....

LoL

And I still like you! We all make mistakes and eventually come around. At least I can admit I was wrong.

You, me, my cat, my dead grandma and the entire state of Wisconsin all saw that play coming. Sure wish I could knock down $1,500,000/yr drawing these plays up.

I was all for going for it. As a fan, I knew we could get it and possibly pull within 3 before HT. I knew we could do it....

The risk was too great to go for it in that spot. You MUST punt. Even if you get the first down, you still have to drive 30-40 yards to get into FG range. Not easy-peasy with our offense. If you get stopped (it happened), you basically gift the opponent points right before halftime.

This might be the stupidest call Miles ever made as head coach at LSU.

Me and a couple buddies all said to each other that we were going to run B gap toss dive to the left for the first play of the game. And thats what we ran. As a fan of the game, I seem to know what we are going to run. Opposing defensive coordinators have an easy job game planning against us.

Les Miles must be the easiest coach in college football to game plan against. If fans know what he is going to do the opposing coaches salivate for it.
