Is if the defense looks like a national championship side of the ball and the offense is back to looking like our crutch....

I would honestly rather the whole team look great or the whole team look mediocre than have that scenario and think of what this season could have been if we didnt get House'd.

What are you smoking that you think this defense goes from the worst we have ever seen to National Championship level in one year?

Dude. Have you not heard? Nuss is playing both ways. Starting QB and starting DT.

it's setting up to be a painful year. offense will be fine, I believe, but defense? just not enough dlineman and our corners don't have much experience and we don't hae that guy.

we could be playing the Ray Marucci(?) Rams Eagle defense with 2 defensive lineman by midseason because of attrition. YOu've got to be long in the tooth to remember that but he Rams got to the super bowl after winning half their games during the regular season. where they were summarily dismissed by the Bradshaw led Steelers.

Here's what I think will happen: LSU will pull a Michigan and play complimentary football, which wins championships.

The offense won't be centered around the QB throwing 40-50x's a game. The Tigers will have that ability if they need it, but I think we will see more of the run game paired with a play-action passing game. This in turn will help the defense, which should be markedly improved under a new DC regardless of talent. House was just that bad. The idea is to keep the defense off the field if it's your weak link. A good ball control scheme will frustrate an opposing defense into taking more chances to try and get a turnover, and then you take your shots.
