LEAVE RUNNERS ON BASE!!!

15 or however many yesterday and the bases loaded the first two innings today.

If the tigers continue to leave runners on they will lose. The pitching will be fine and give us a chance to win but the hitters need to get clutch hits.

I hope you understand that we will leave runners on base.

We will, but it absolutely can’t happen at the rate it’s happened the past couple of games.

We can’t continue to load the bases with one out and fail to score a run.

We even do that when we win.
Frustrates the hell out of me.

I think he probably means leaving the bases loaded over and over but I also suspect you know what he means

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen 9 runners left on through 3 innings before. Incredible

Agreed. Everyone talks about Skenes and who’s going to pitch, which is important, but the bats need to deliver when we have RISP. A big part of that is the bottom of the lineup, and it’s not just Jordan Thompson.

I believe what you mean is hitting with runners in scoring position. We could score 10 runs and inning and leave as many on as if we didn’t score with bases loaded.

Or zero outs.

Or two outs.

We have to bring then in.

Counterpoint-

I'd rather be where we are with this, instead of having been 2-hit the past couple days. Keep getting runners on, and if NOTHING else you're grinding away at their pitchers. And sooner or later, keep doing it and we're going to break through.

We haven't been overmatched, even today when the score ended up so lopsided. That means we have something to build on.

If you score 10 runs and leave 10 on base it's ok.

Leaving 10 on base and scoring 3 is not ok.

Why does everyone think they are dropping some wisdom by parroting the leaving runners on base stuff? If you're not leaving runners on base then you're not getting runners on base.

What you're really saying is it's hard to win a ball game if you don't score runs. Thanks man I see the game in a whole new light.

It’s crazy. I wonder why they keep doing that.

This isn’t a last two games issue. LSU has left runners on base all year. It’s because they get a ton of runners on base. When you are one of the best teams in OBP that is going to happen.

They’re going to have to completely change their approach at the play with RISP. Doubt they will now though.

They are batting .219 in Omaha. That will not get it done in the championship series especially with a taxed pitching staff against an opponent who has a rested third starter and a rested bullpen. Its gonna be an uphill battle for sure.
