The last time we played a favored Miami team with an unproven QB was the Peach Bowl with Flynn. It was 40 to 3 LSU

Miami looks like the experienced team in the first half, Tigers look shaky. Canes get a TD from a turnover on our 25 and a field goal later in the first qtr.
By 2nd qtr the Tigs begin to settle down, Burrow moves the team close enough for a field goal before halftime.
Miami leads 10-3 at the half.
The 2nd half Burrow and receivers start to gel. Tiger drive down the field in the first possession and score to tie it.
Meanwhile, our defense starts to dominate as expected. Miami can't do anything offensively, and turn it over late in the game deep in their territory. Tigers take advantage and score again.
Tigers win: 17 - 10

These opening games are hard to predict....a lot of "promising stuff" may turn out to be pie in the sky, but sometimes, there are nice surprises, too....
LSU will win if they can do what they usually do best - run the ball...if we have to put the ball in our QB's hands, it becomes more problematic....
