My how things change. Now we're hearing snippets that at end of season, if they win out, OSU will have the best resume.
I am still surprised all the air time devoted to Bama's chances. Forget the Tua mulligan, now it has to do with the "good loss" to LSU. WOW, if you take Bama name off the resume and give that to any other team, we wouldn't even be hearing about this crap!

I still hope Oregon/Utah run the table and one of them gets in, but now we're also hearing about Utah's loss to USC and if they win out, then Bama has the better resume.

What is it going to take to get rid of this Bama bias! One thing...an Auburn win!

I’ll never understand how a 1-loss team who can’t even win their division can continually get in over a 1-loss conference champ.

Bama has no chance (I know they do but not much) Oregon or Utah will be 4th seed

If the CFP committee puts the Gumps in over a conference champion with one loss, then we need to bring the computers back and ditch this eye test bullshite, because the committee is incapable of making selections without bias.

We are old news, we beat Bama almost 10 days ago. The national media is on to the next big win...

Continually? Has that ever happened with the playoffs?

The Duck's A.D. chairs the selection committee. Yea, rite, he will recuse himself from any vote but...........and fwiw, bama is history, too much bama fatigue. Even Finebaum's pimping efforts seem to lack real energy since Tau's injury.

Ohio State could easily lose to Penn State or Michigan.

Things will work themselves out.

Simple. Not all conferences early are equal. Or anywhere close to equal.

Yep, that’s a bad system. It almost encourages teams to miss their conference championship. They would have to write up a rule that teams playing in conference championships got preferential treatment and the only way a team could be considered without playing in one, would be if there were no other teams closely qualified.

Because winning in a terrible conference shouldn’t be celebrated over other leagues that have teams that have better wins with the same records. Not all schedules are created equal. If you have a bad schedule or play in an awful league it’s best not to lose a game or it can be out of your hands.

I 100% agree with this statement!. Fans must not remember or are to young to know that the whole reason the ncaa went to the BCS is to stop the bias by the pollsters and the media in determining a champion. It seems like this is where we are again.

Like if LSU loses go A&M and UGa? Can you imagine the melt on here if that happens?

I don’t think it will happen, but that’s why they play the games.

Obviously, they did it in 2012 before the playoffs when they got in over 12-1 Big XII champ Oklahoma State.

They did it again in 2017, when they failed to win the SEC West title but went to the playoffs anyway. Auburn beat them and went on to lose the SECCG, while the Gunps stayed home and backdoored their way in.

Problem is that’s exactly why they did away with the computers. It gave CFB a truly unbiased look at who should be in the championship game.

They, the sportswriters, wanted to be relevant again and have the power. They wrote a narrative that forced CFB to get rid of the computer. That band of never played, jock sniffers will never give that power back.

Yes but the system has changed. I’m talking playoffs. It hasn’t happened yet.

2011 was bs. No doubt about it but it got us here. Certainly not perfect but it hasn’t Messed up like that yet.

In 2011, they got into the NC game over 12-1 Oklahoma State. In 2017, UGA won the SEC. Bama got in over 11-2 Ohio State, which won the Big X.
