Nah. The majority of the people on this board are LSU fans, and when things don't go well they post negative things. Some post negative things about coaches, some about players and some about other fans. Some, like you, seem to be bothered when everyone is happy at one time and start negative threads.

Posters have jumped at the 59-0 Ohio State score

Apparently we can only post good things about Aranda and not even question his performance.

Until he actually coaches here. Then he's fair game.

A few people will find something to dislike about everything. I wouldn't judge any group based on a vocal minority

I downvoted to be edgy and cool. I'm probably considered a nega. This is a great hire and the future is looking up for LSU football

I say only positive things because perspective usually becomes reality and recruites dont go to negative envirements.

A lot it of them want to be the coach but agreeing with the coach doesn't give them the immagitive power they need to be the coach so they go negative , looking for support from the like minded, together they might have some power ! Mostly they just hurt recruiting and that gives them the feeling of power because they feel like they can do something ! Some people never grow up !

A prime example of the mentality of this board: a LARGE majority here were calling Jimbo Fisher every kind of name imaginable for the way he handled Winston, and the names were all ugly. Then, when it seems he's primed to be LSU's next HC, you'd have thought he was the next coming of The Bear. Point being: lots of idiots here.

As soon as the defense has one shaky game, this board will be overrun with people saying I told you so (whether they did or not)

you know it. I know it.

Or just for the sake of being negative, or because they secretly "hate" LSU, or whatever nonsensical reason you can name. It's sometimes neat to see things destroy it. Love this new hire.

This. Looks like a great hire, and kudos to Miles for his role in making it happen. There, I gave Miles credit for something, and he certainly deserves the praise in this instance.

Well. You can put me on record as saying it's a good hire.

Frankly, if the defense is good at all next year, I'll count that as a GREAT hire because we have serious depth issues up the middle that are coach independent.

But, you won't see me saying "I told you it was a bad hire" because, I'm on record NOW saying it wasn't. I suppose occasionally coaches don't turn out to be good fits so, we'll see..........but that's another discussion.

Let's be honest. The negativity you mention has more to do with Nick's successes as Les' failures. It is difficult to watch them rise to the top every year while we wait for next year. Stop whining about whining unless you want to be called negative too.

Of course the reality is that nobody here makes any "decisions" of any consequence to the LSU athletic program, whether our attitude is positive, negative, or above-it-all hyperrational.
