Or just for the sake of being negative, or because they secretly "hate" LSU, or whatever nonsensical reason you can name.

It's sometimes neat to see things destroy it.

Love this new hire.

Majority of the board is pretty balanced. It's the outliers on either side that embarrass themselves on a daily basis.

There have been multiple posters comparing Aranda to Lou Tepper not even 24 hours after he was hired so I'm not sure I agree with you

It's the vocal minority who blame every setback on Miles and credit every success to luck. Their latest meme is to put down those who are optimistic about 2016 with the retort "NextYearU"

I've seen a tiny handful of goofy contrarian "criticisms", but the vast majority here seem to be hailing this as a great hire.

It seems a lot either responded to and/or downvoted my OP.

At least one guy later figured what I was getting at.

Yeah, sure. But the contrarian douchebag tendency is strong in Louisiana in general and LSU fandom in particular. A ton of LSU fans experience overwhelming childish joy from incessant negativity, I don't know how you even argue otherwise.

I lived in Baton Rouge for 25 years and I've lived in a city with multiple major CFB programs for about 15. The difference in attitude is jarring, to say the least.

Because they're all negative douches that misuse it and drink the vinegar and water. Misery loves company. Clowns.

There's NO narrative that the majority of this board is just negative out of spite, or just for the sake of being negative, or because they secretly "hate" LSU. That narrative does not exist.

Now if you want to talk about some posters being irrationally anti-Miles . . .

This hire didn't destroy it.

How incredibly dumb would someone have to be, to be against this hire?

Posters have jumped at the 59-0 Ohio State score, and used LSU's win last year against Wisconsin as some kind of counter example why this is something other than a slam dunk.

Most people see this as the great hire that it is, but some negatigers are already out, and more will show themselves at the first defensive stumble. Anyone who doesn't recognize that a significant portion of LSU fans are miserable, negative people isn't looking very hard.

My GF is not a sports fan, and pays zero attention to sports in general or LSU in particular. Even she has noticed the negativity on social media and in personal interactions.

It's banging your head against the wall trying to figure this LSU fan dynamic.

For a program in distress; Miles is doing a great job. Yesterday with the DC hire; and maybe they should go take a look at the recruiting board to see more work Miles is currently doing.

Because there isn't a vocal contingent of fans on here that incessantly rail on miles and credit him for all failures while chalking up any success to either luck or credit to other coaches.

It's the Donald Trump factor. Anger fuels negativity and rash decisions.
