Who gives a shite. We won. Why talk about how players didn't play good and what not. JL did alot of good things for us that year and in years past. Nobody ever said that team was dominant on offense ever. If they did they are dumb. We played to our strengths. Oh hey we only won because our defense. Bet we would have taken same result in national championship.

Lee had a terrible career against Alabama with a career QB rating of around 60---fricking 60 in four years of playing them.

I liked the guy, but you guys need to get your head out of your arse if you think Lee was the answer to Alabama in that game.

This thread is likely going to blow up in your face, but you're 100% right.

If half the self proclaimed experts would rewatch games, they'd realize they don't know what the frick they're talking about the majority of the time.

You can't process a game watching it live. There's too much emotion.

We had two very mediocre QBs in 2011 that our coaching staff miraculously hid on our way to the best season in LSU history.

The result of a Rematch against a D like Bama's should have been obvious to everyone, but I for one admit I never imagined how well AJ could play in that game.

With his play and our D/ST not making a big play to swing momentum in our favor, we truly never had a shot.

Had Lee played against that swarming D in a feeding frenzy against our OL, Lee would have handed the ball over multiple times the same way he did against Bama on 11/5, and the game would have been more along the lines of the Notre Dame blowout than the slowout we witnessed.

Lee owes Miles a huge debt of gratitude for not allowing him to shite his pants in that game. Now, he's a lifelong martyr for Miles bashers everywhere.

Can't wait for Mett and Cam with a deep threat at WR.

2013 is finally going to feel like we have a real team again

Lee finished the Alabama game off for us the year before with a huge play. We were god awful and JJ was even worse in national championship. For us to not play lee at all was a travesty.

You conveniently leave out that Lee "finished the game off" by completing ONE PASS after JJ played the whole game and had us in the lead with two minutes left before he got hurt.

Details, details

I know that putting Lee in that game probably wouldn't have made a lot of difference but you have to give him a shot. He lead us the way the entire year and deserved to get PT. I'm not saying lee would of won the game damn call down

Or maybe his best Qb was on the bench and played mop up. If the best players were playing then Mett would have started the whole year and maybe we win back to back instead of Zero championships the last two seasons . A un-experienced Mett is better than Lee or jefferson on their best day.

Did I not say he FINISHED THE GAME OFF WITH A HUGE PLAY. Didn't say he played a great game. Nice try douche. He also made huge plays at end of Florida game that year. LEE was clutch in his time after his freshmen season.

One fricking play in four years of screw ups which included a passing efficiency of fricking 15 in the first Alabama meeting of 2011 of .

You guys with your love affair for Lee are too funny.

Lee was a nice dude, but he crapped out against Alabama time after time.

The point is that JL deserved a chance. He got us through very difficult part of season and then just gets put on back burner, then in NC JJ couldn't even get past 50. He finally did and what happened? Somebody find me the GIF. He should have been given a shot in NC. Doubt it makes a difference but JJ was hot shite that game

How did you not see that the entire game the first time? My memory isn't faulty, if Oregon hadn't had such shitty ball control the game could have been much different. The offense played better against WVU, then starting shitting the bed again the second half and the D and special teams had to get them cranked up again. If Bama hadn't played so conservatively on offense in T-town they likely would have rolled LSU that game. Then the SEC championship game the offense had to have TM7 bail them out on great plays/ punt returns, the offense didn't generate a single first down the entire first half. 2011 was all about special teams and the D, the O was along for the ride most games. Lee had some decent games, but never against really competitive D's.

TM7, the D, and the running game were dominant in 2011.

Which you followed up with this nugget:

How bout you talk about Lee's 1 TD 7 INTs or less than 50% completion rate in his career against Bama instead of ONE PLAY as if it's some proof that he deserved a chance on 1/9???

Could have sworn they played for LSU. LSU beat down every opponent except bama. That is dominating. We didn't just beat opponents, we embarrassed them

I conveniently left out the passing game to make a point that that weakness is ultimately what cost us, no matter how dominant we'd been up until then.

Our entire offense sucked against bama. We didn't exactly run all over them. LSU was dominant in 2011 and Lee was a huge part of that.

A change should have been made in that game

2 can play that game. If JL run offense had 53 yards passing and 90 something total yards I guarantee JJ would have seen the field. Nice stats Mr Jefferson. Not to mention one of the most stupid looking plays I've ever seen throwing the ball right into bama defender chest.
