If I was a recruit it looks like a lot of opportunities to be seen on TV.

I love our schedule, wish we could add South Carolina too. We have enough talent to win every game, i'm not concerned with other teams schedules. If we come out ready to go with a good game plan in place, we should roll through it.

all depends what you want, entertainment or championships?

if all you want is the former, then ok bring on everyone. if you want the latter, the schedule DOES matter.

The AD probably loves the tough schedule due to televised games, attendance, etc.

No clue how they or the SEC didn't recognize this huge disparity and correct it. Unfortunately the players and fans of those teams will be the ones to suffer.

Say what?

Isn't LSU the team with the "second Season system"?

Week: Furman
Week: Bye
Week: @Alabama
Week: Bye
Week: TAMU

That is 3 byes in 4 weeks.

Interesting comeback Metry.

LSU has a bye before its too toughest games.
(and 2 byes before Alabama).

The cost of that was playing an average SEC schedule. I'm not sure why anyone would whine about LSU's schedule this year.

If this SEC schedule is too hard the ACC is waiting and Loves them some Baseball.

See 2011...

I bet if LSU goes 13-0 and loses another rematch to Bama, you will torch the coaching staff along with the rest of the majority of the fan base.

Why would I do that? I might be one of maybe 10 LSU fans that didn't lose their fricking minds over that loss.

You're right about the reaction, just wrong in who you pointed it towards.

Riiiiight. At Georgia, At Alabama, At Ole Miss, At Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Florida (not counting Auburn and Arky)........ is """"""""""""AVERAGE"""""""""""" ????????
FOUR of those are Top Ten teams !!!!!!, and two additional ones are Top 20 caliber.

You are either on something or just beyond delusional.

edit. Did not mean to insult you. Maybe your opinion?

Last year they were.

This year I'm not sold on Florida, Tamu, Georgia, and there is a strong argument to sell Alabama stock.

I'm saying its not quite as tough as it looks.

If you don't think Florida, UGA, aTm, or Bama are gonna be good then who will be good?

this goes on every year unless you are al. they get every break on the schedule, they don't play anybody back to back that is any good. Nope the schedule is made in Birmingham and don't you think the guy doing it is not taking care of Al. It is like this every year go back an look. Florida and LSU paticulary get screwed every year.

The bye week timing was self inflicted, because we were given an ultimatum regarding getting a bye week advantage over Bama.

We elected to compromise and we both take our bye weeks before playing each other.

And no, I don't remember the details, just that Alleva said out of our choices, this was the best.

I agree with you mr. original post guy. But there is no hope of the SEC ever being fair. Why would they change? There is no pressure on the powers to be to stop unfair practices. Over half the people here like having the odds stacked against them.

They spout of shite like we will over come. We will do it anyway. It is as if they like their team being screwed over and cheated. Ask for an even playing field and they act like you just grew a third eye or something.

On the bright side, we play Furman.

The truth is it can never be fair. You never now how teams will perform. Auburn looked scary on the schedule then went 0-8.

I will give the simple answer straight from the horse's mouth.

It's a business.

Fairness and equality are not parameters that played a significant role when putting these schedules together. Our administration, specifically the one that officially makes our schedule, keeps the players in mind when selecting opponents, but ultimately everything is determined by the bottom line.

The conference deals with it in the exact same manner, and absolutely has no consideration given to fairness and equality. This is why I no longer support the conference.

People bitch about our non-conference schedule, but at least we consider the players, the team, and the staff, when selecting those opponents. Those same people will be the first ones bitching when the team shows up flat or banged up and it compromises the goals of those sacrificing the most.

Trust me when I tell you that the SEC gives no fricks about LSU or Ole Miss. And the administration of LSU has zero power in changing that. They absolutely love their slice of the pie, and are willing to turn their cheeks and allow the conference decision making to continue to work in the best interests of all that is the most financially rewarding.

I will continue my loyalty to my school, but I will no longer contribute excessively to the conference in any way. They can't make it right for me anymore. I cancelled all 3 road game trips this year. Just can't bury my head in the sand.
