The most athletic basketball player to almost play for LSU (Jimma Gatwech)

Kid was a “Ball is Life” star and had offers from LSU, WKU, and Oregon. He blew up on the scene in 2019 with these ridiculous in game dunks and his rumored 48 inch vertical. Wade saw Gatwech was raw but at 6’4 180lbs and his long arms, he had potential to be an elite defender on the wing so he offered him as a unranked player. He makes Marlon Taylor look unathletic. Sadly the kid got some bad advice to go to a prep school instead of signing with LSU and figured he had a chance to go to the G-League like top recruits in the nation but it didn’t work out.

Yea, I don't know about that. When you are having to dunk the ball just to stop your face from slamming into the rim I'd say you are pretty damn athletic

Yeah I probably exaggerated a little. They’re pretty much even in leaping ability. Just looks crazy on this kid because he’s 6’4 and that’s being generous.

Prep school was arguably best for him at that point. It gave him the ongoing chance at another college scholarship or the G-League.
There's also no evidence he signed there "instead of LSU", as opposed to instead of any of his other finalists.
