The main indicator that O is clueless

Aside from the play on the field and the results, Orgeron constantly has 2-3 people in his ear on the sideline. Every time you saw Chip Kelly he was by himself with a play sheet. Same with most other coaches- aside from quick chats, they’re by themselves.
Last night just about every time they showed Orgeron he had assistants telling him something. He appears to be incapable of making decisions on his own. Can’t hold a play sheet when he’s so busy clapping I guess..

I always question the CEO type HCs. At the end of the day, what are you bringing to the table?

He’s a hands off CEO(no pun intended) but can’t consistently make the right hires (seemingly). If he can’t, needs to go. If last night is any indication, may be out shortly...

I think it’s the fact he was never a coordinator himself and hired two guys who have never been coordinators to be his coordinators for this season…

I guess that explains why half the time it’s McMahon that he’s talking to. He’s the only one that has any idea what’s going on

He not only brings nothing to his OC or DC, but he even hired Pomansky and Austin Thomas to handle most of his admin duties

He literally just stands there on the sidelines.

Exact opposite in Bama, they run to the furthest legal spot on the sideline away from Saban.

This is USC and Ole Miss all over again.

Damn I wish he would’ve gotten that USC job

Well O seems to have checked out since natty n payday. But coaches who call plays are Locked into the flow. Coaches who don’t have 2-3 n his ear.

True. No way Saban would delegate, let a coordinator hold the play sheet or clap.

Of course he’s clueless. He’s a recruiter that has coached a little defensive line. I can’t believe anyone thought this would work out any other way.

He has two responsibilities during the games: Give players the evil eye and scream "Let's go!" That's apparently worth millions a year.

Dabo was able to do it. But he has had Venables. Had Orgeron been able to keep Aranda in the same role, this could have worked out for him.

Can we stop calling him “O” or “Coach O”? Let’s simply refer to him as Ed

One thing that's always bugged me about O is how conservative he is in regards to taking chances. This game, Cade York easily makes it from 52 but there's a false start. Then O decided to punt instead of trying a 57 yard FG with his All-American kicker.

So did Les Miles. Who can forget Josh Henson basically telling Les what was going on when Les would frick up the clock management.
