Wow, I never thought someone could ever be that crazy. LSU will throw the ball against Appy and throw it well.
Our gazillion targets vs. Appy's secondary....hell, my fat arse could complete passes on Aug. 30th.

....that you can't expect to have "jungle" conditions at that elevation. I just as easlily could laugh my arse off if yall were headed up to play in late Nov. Now that would be funny. Just saying.....

I didn't expect Boone to have 99% humidity, I find it laughable that folks think you won't have any problems going from practicing at 75 w 60% humidity to playing in 95 degree heat with 95% humidity...Apples and Oranges

Definitely, we would have problems playing in snow

your running game will be good but the majority of the LSU fans are predicting an arse whipping. Not going to happen. If you guy have to run and we can pass,Which we will you won't make the 30 to 50 point spread you fans are predicting.End of 4th quarter LSU BY 10...espn happy...App State fans happy. LSU FANS SEARCHING FOR A QB.
1. It is going to be an arse whooping...i will be completely shocked if we dont win by 30. I dont buy into all this good game crap...VT was supposed to be a good game.
2. Florida cant beat us at home.
3. You wont run against us.
4. We have 3 QBs...we wont be searching for anything...edwards is the one who wont make it to halftime.

it is apples and oranges. I know it's very hard to recreate humidity, but I believe our guys have been cranking up the heat in the indoor facility(if they haven't then they are wasting a resource).

(there's a reason you're in 1AA and we're not. You're in the same league as Nicholls State...
Brilliant arguement. LSU is in the same league AND conference as Vanderbilt.

APP STATE 3 NATIONAL CHAMPIOSHIPS BY PLAYOFF ...THATS PRESSURE.
Yes playing in front of parents, girlfriends, and about 50 others in a mean nothing playoff is really the pinnacle of the sport

they're from NC. They had one game in Ann Arbor, I really doubt they've grown accustomed to the heat levels in Michigan.
The high temperature at Ann Arbor on the day App State played Michigan was 79 F ( LINK ). It was very humid. But the heat index really isn't a problem at 79 regardless of how humid it is.
The average August daily HIGH temperature at Boone, NC, is 74 F ( LINK ).
I'm one who thinks hot, humid weather such as that which can occur during mid afternoon in August at Baton Rouge can be a factor for a team that's not accustomed to it. I also don't think the area ecompassing the Southern Conference is the same.
I lived on the coast of Georgia (Brunswick then St. Simons Island) for five years back in the 80s. It was, to me, different. Hot in the summer; yes. Somewhat humid at times; yes. But, to me, nothing like the summer heat/humidity combination of my hometown of Lake Charles, LA, Baton Rouge, or New Orleans.
If you check out the listing of the top 10 humid cities in the US at LINK you'll see that 7 of the 10 are along the Gulf coast. The other three are on the Pacific Northwest coast; but it's relatively cool up there so you're not going to get the same magnitude of "heat index."

I bet on this date in 2004 it was a helluva lot hotter and more humid in Baton Rouge than it was in Corvallis,OR.

Might have been warmer but don't know about more humid. That's a humid region (as indicated in my previous post).
Wasn't that game played at night? If so, to me, that's a lot different than starting a game at 3 CST.

I don't think LSU is going to be one dimensional but, even if they are, they won't necessarily be low scoring. That depends on the exent to which they dominate the line of scrimmage.
I have a lot of respect for App State but some App State fans have gotten totally carried away. There is going to be a very significant talent gap such that LSU is going to have a lot better horses overall than App State does. LSU's going to have a particularly big edge on the line of scrimmage both ways.

you mention the running backs but you forget to mention our corps of receivers which is the best in the SEC if not the country.
and im still failing to understand how you can think that ASU will get more than a couple opportunities to score...if they get that many.
You do realize we have one of the best defenses in the country...and if you want to talk about last year, OSU had the "best" defense in the country and we torched them...so for you to call our offense one dimensional is almost as ridiculous as you all thinking you have a chance.

My respect for app state and their fans is totally gone, on Aug 30th i will exhibit behavior similar to that of when we play Auburn.(all respect, common courtesy out the window because those bastards don't deserve a bit of it)
see you in BR, hope you have a terrible time, and

On that same note, since it is a home game I'd assume we're going to choose to play in our white jerseys (even though it is out of conference).
App. State has to give us permission to wear white and I doubt they do that, considering they would have to wear black.
