The local media ( mainly Koki) is hard to listen to.

I get to the point at these press conferences that I feel bad for Lane and Jay Johnson. Some of the questions they asked is just plain awful. They're not creative and they ask the same thing every week..
Koki asked who the starting quarterback will be Saturday. Do they really think coach is gonna give that information out? So our competition, we'll get the heads up?
I get to the point I don't even enjoy watching these every week.

The worst is rabalais…usually good questions but can’t understand shite he says… like he has a mouth full of marbles

"Lane, what would you suggest as to how to fix traffic?"
"Lane, what's your favorite color?"
Teh o/u on topics this week asking who LSU will start at QB this weekend on the board is probably around 20. I would hope a reporter would ask that question...even if he is unlikely to get a direct answer

Isn't that a valid question to ask? Doing the job? Maybe ask it a different way like - is there a chance that Sam sits this weekend?

I love listening to Doucet’s lunch show. Usually pretty good and I find he always ask decent questions.

They know they won't get an answer but they will be writing about a need a quote from the coach. I don't get the vitriol some of the reporters get on here. Its a game they play and so do the coaches. Does it hurt to ask, no.

And he is a damn good writer. He is one of the few reasons I have to still read the advocate.

She isn't even in media right now. Somehow she ended up on my twitter feed last week and she made a post about how she is in a ton of debt going to college and pursuing sportswriting, and that right now she is cat-sitting and doing odd jobs.
The last thing I remember her doing was working as some sort of feature writer for the Astros, and a couple months in someone went back into her Twitter history and pulled up some of her tweets about the Astros being a bunch of cheaters (she is a Rangers fan I think), so I don't know how long that job lasted.
