our starting O line (with national 247 composite recruit ranking in parenthesis) of Charles (262), Hines (243), Cush (600)*, Lewis (698)** and Deculus(48) have an average recruit ranking of 370.
* gave cush a 600 even though his .825 or whatever it was, was to low to rank (number would have put him at about 750 though, didn't want to weigh it down to much)
** Lewis .8656 would have come in at 698 so marked him there
in comparison Bama starting 5:
Williams (17), Cotton(54), Peirsbacher (73), Leatherwood (13), Wills (34) for an average national recruit ranking of 38,.
I think the cut off for 5 star is 25 so bama is close to pushing for a 5 star average across the line. A mix of 5 star players and those pushing 5 star.
in conclusion the OP is an idiot

Orgeron's comments about the lines were pusillanimous and typical of his mindset. It bodes poorly.
He had better get a competent OC or he will be gone all too soon...

tell us about it. What did O do post game? Said we need better players in the trenches? Oh no! HOw could he say that, it might hurt some ones feelings!
I want to hear your angle on it or was it something else you are referring to that O did post game?

Here is the real question. Name one player on our offense that would start on Bama's team.

Good question. I cannot name one.

Saying that O requires better talent to beat Bama, is basically saying that O needs all the breaks to win. There are dozens of coaches that could probably compete with Bama if they had a "more talented" team.
The whole point of coaching is that outside of a few circumstances you are never going to have a perfectly talented team. You might face a running back that is bigger and faster and better than your LBs. You might have WRs that don't match up against a well oiled secondary. You might have an OLine that is smaller and less talented than a DLine.
The point of coaching is to figure out the best way to address those gaps, and gameplan to successful execution of strategies, and put your team in the best position to win.
Anyone focusing on the "lack of talent compared to Bama," is basically admitting that O can't coach well enough and that he requires his talent to be equal or better to have a chance.

So your mother did not read to you when you were growing up (in the boxcar)?

The point is Ed is an idiot. He's saying he needs better players, but he's got guys bama wanted. The fact that this offense couldn't move the ball is on Steve Ensminger and the lack of development and coaching at LSU. Scheme is what held these guys back. End of story.
There is much truth here. Again, LSU will have to re-think its entire football philosophy if it hopes to amount to anything. I do not think the people there have the proper mindset.

So you're saying that the offensive line actually played a good game Saturday. Gotcha.
So you're saying that no other coach in this country could have done a better job against their defense? Gotcha.

Do we have the worst OL Alabama has faced this year?

in case anyone missed it.
Stop with the talent is enough BS. We need to sign some big hogs for in the trenches. Kardell we need you ASAP!
Posted on 11/5/18 at 2:24 pm to FreeDevin40
So Alexander has more talent than Williams. Got it.
Posted on 11/5/18 at 2:32 pm to FreeDevin40
There is also a 29-0 deficit in player development tho...

No one missed it. You should try reading the thread where this has been addressed. But since you apparently are incapable of doing that, I’ll post it again.
Does Lsu have a less talented offensive line than missouri, Arkansas, ole miss, and ULL?

This right here. For the most part the Oline guy didn't even slow the defensive player down as he brushed past him on the way to Burrow.
Agreed, they whiffed all game. They won few, very few 1 v 1 battles to create a crease for a RB or provide any time for JB to make his progressions and a throw.
