So you are saying everyone should be able to go out for passes on every play ?.. doubt any team would actually have "linemen" at that point... fastest team wins

Old Indian trick which AU used for years til refs caught up with them. Sell the run then throw it or actually run the ball. The ultimate reason the RPO's were so successful. LSU used a different version of the trickery last year somewhat like the Saints perfected. The refs shall too catch up with them as well. Aim is to make the defense flat footed and caught between defending both which is impossible.

As much as we may malign officiation (many times rightly so) they study film and may have been watching for it. And of course in pre-game conferences with the coaches, Dabo may have even suggested (watch for OL downfield)

It’s not for the OL to not look lIke an eligible receiver, it is to keep him from blocking a guy defending a pass receiver.
