Fair enough.

Well if Saban was recorded like this and then we saw players post on Instagram and social media about their new cars and whole families moving to watch them "play ball" ......oh wait

I don’t need Saban to get caught to know he cheats. I don’t need any successful major college football or basketball program to get caught to know they cheat. I just don’t care that they do . It’s the NCAA’s job to care not mine. I just want to be entertained.

LSU can discipline the coach and the team and not wait on the the NCAA or the court system.

If you are the AD and believe he cheated after speaking with him and hearing all the evidence, what would you do?

People keep posting this like it's a given. I would put the chances of Wade ever stepping foot in a courtroom over this at about 20 percent, maybe less.

And in the off chance that he did, there is legal maneuvering that could keep him from answering those types of questions.

Regardless, if he is burned, I hope he takes the whole college basketball institution with him. Burn the whole thing down.

I'm not an attorney, but unless there are additional recordings with actual damning information, how can anyone say definitively that the "offer" wasn't simply a scholarship offer? Perhaps he offered playing time, etc.

I'm not naive and I understand why this looks bad. I just don't see how anything that has come out is actionable.

I hope that's the worst of it. If so, I have a hard time seeing anything happen to LSU over this aside from bad publicity.

It seems CWW carefully selected his words.

Let's hope that this is the worst of what was recorded and that he didn't say anything that isn't subject to interpretation.

That depends. Do I have proof that he cheated?

Are NCAA sanctions inevitable? If not, I stand with the coach and fight this.

If so, I may still stamd with the coach and fight.

It's the NCAA's fault that recruiting has turned into this. They allowed this system to take hold and become standard operating procedure.

If they try to single out LSU for sanctions, I would ask the coach to start naming names and spilling the dirt on everyone. Then I'd ask the football coach to do the same.

frick all that. If they try to bring us down I say take everyone else down with us.

I seriously doubt Saban would be stupid enough to say things like this on a phone. I’m not saying he’s gone through his career clean, but I don’t think he’s that stupid.

Y’all are still confused. It’s not about what Wade said on the tapes. It’s about what he says under oath when asked about what he said on the tapes. If he cheated and admits to it, he’s screwed by the NCAA. If he cheated and lies about it, he opens himself up to federal perjury prosecution. We impeached the President of the fricking United States just 20 years ago for doing this exact thing. If he did in fact cheat, his(and LSU’s) only real hope is that he never has to testify whether in a courtroom or a disposition. I just can’t imagine his attorneys advising him to lie under oath and daring the feds to “prove it.” Cause they will.
