It’s not that we’re naive enough to believe he isn’t talking about what we think he’s talking about. It’s the fact that we’re getting called out for something that all the prominent programs are also doing. And it’s never the prominent programs who examples are made out of. It’s the programs trying to keep up with and compete with those programs that are targeted.

Still, despite the wording and inferences, there are no monies listed, no amounts, Regardless, if he is burned, I hope he takes the whole college basketball institution with him. Burn the whole thing down.

I never said it didn't, I'm not naive. I know this stuff goes on a lot of places (and went on at LSU in the 80s, and I personally witnessed several examples, which I've posted here before).

I'm just saying that blindly defending Wade while hurling cheating accusations at Saban and others is hypocritical.

These are your words, so let’s just assume he is talking about cheating. He will be asked about it, under oath, by a federal prosecutor and/or defense team. It seems to me he only has 3 options there:

1) Lie about it. This would subject him to federal perjury charges and possible imprisonment.

2) Admit to it. This is all the “proof” the NCAA would need.

3) Rufuse to answer on advice of council/plead the 5th—I’m not sure he can even do that here, as I’m not sure what he would be admitting to would be an actual crime. The 5th Amendment doesn’t prevent you from admitting you committed NCAA violations. Not to mention they could grant his immunity, since he’s not who they care about. But even if he can and does plead the 5th, this would seem like an admission in and of itself, especially to the NCAA who has a much lower standard to meet than “reasonable doubt.”

There’s a lot of naivety here clearly. If you believe Wade cheated and was talking about it on those tapes(and you said yourself you did), it seems the only way out of this is by somehow getting out of having to be sworn under oath at all.
