I'm all for replacing South with Florida. Not playing the UF game probably puts us out of SEC West contention. I definitely think we should swallow our pride and play the damn game to give us a chance.

Moving the Florida=Georgia game to 10/22 and then us playing Florida on 10/29 is the best option IMO. Its not like we need the open date before Bama anyway. Back when I was in school, we played successively on the 3 Saturdays back to back, Ole Miss, Bama and then Miss State. could care less about their hotel reservations etc. The only problem is That Georgia loses their open date. Of Course we lost our open date in 2005. Imo that's the only option, no need to lose a home game on 10/19

Some of y'all act like it's just that easy. What about all those fans who booked flights and possibly other accommodations that are non refundable? What if we did play in Florida that weekend, and places such as Walk On's who spends major money on tents and entertainment get hosed? It goes beyond the University, and when it's not forced bc of Mother Nature you can't just hose your own city for their screw job.

Florida manipulated this situation to give itself a competitive advantage. The coach didn't want to play because his team has numerous injuries and because he realized that playing fewer games would increase their potential winning percentage .
By canceling the USA game and playing AT Florida that week, LSU would be placed at a great disadvantage of playing three SEC road games within an 11
Day period....not to mention that playing an SEC team vs a SBC team will likely take more out of LSU.
This situation is on Florida. They knew good and well on Tuesday it was a bad idea to try to play the game.

Georgia doesn't lose their open date, they just get their open date a week later.

I completely agree with you. It is all on Florida. They pussed out completely. But not playing this game basically puts us out of SECW contention. Sure, replacing South with UF makes it more difficult, but at least it gives us a chance. All I'm saying.

That's all Alleva has to say....that losing a home game is not an option. The local economy depends on it. It's not a smart business decision.

Unless A&M moves the game to Saturday,Florida buys out South Alabama,Florida compensates us for lost revenue from USA game and we dictate kickoff time,forget it.

Yeah, we don't need to concede anything - there's no way we should agree to play 3 games in 12 days, whether we are compensated or not, and especially if they are all away. Ridiculous and completely avoidable.

the ONLY option is Nov 19th and it is not likely LSU will cancel a home game to play 3 tough SEC road games in a row in 11 days. No way the Fla Ga game moves to accommodate this
