I think Obama needs to get down here and flex his already wanna-be presidential muscles and tell us what to do!

Maybe he can criticize McCain on not being so involved on whether LSU plays football or not.

I bet he could just stand on the roof of the Superdome, stare Gustav right in the eye, and scare it right into Mexico!

So it's going to take that long to evacuate for a storm that may or may not even hit? Will there be a designated time for people to all come back together if nothing happens or will they have to wait and see what Hanna does?

our bye weeks would actually have to match up with the other team's or get them to switch with another team and it would probably become one big frick up

Did ya'll even read the story?

I'll connect the dots...
Athletic dept meeting with State police.

State police are heavily used for games.

State police also control the contra flow.

State police cannot be tied up with a football game when Jindal is covering his arse.

That's reality. Accept it.

Well, considering political history..if he know's he's going to be damned if he does and damned if he doesnt, I'm sure he'd rather be damned for crying wolf, than for repeating Babbling Blanco's mistakes...

Or maybe we just shouldn't schedule fricking North Texas anymore!

Because the last time we did was in 2005 and that's the last time this kind of thing happened.

I think we're cursed if we schedule North Texas...

It's just a hunch.

Warning::: Cold-hearted, ruthless, noncaring statement ahead:::::

The state/federal officials have at least 3 full days to evacuate all of those willing to evacuate New Orleans. That's plenty of time if someone is willing to leave. If others choose to stay, I say screw 'em. If something bad happens to the city, if the levees break, I don't want to see any water/food/or any other government help to those that stayed behind. If they are looting, shoot 'em. They all know what could happen and if they stay behind, they can get what's coming to them.

National Guard are already called up and will be in all southern parishes tomorrow ready to roll if they actually do declare a mandatory evac tomorrow night so State Police would probably have to follow suit. But they COULD do both.

It's all so stupid at this point. Jindal pulled the trigger waaaaaayyyyyy too early on this one. But if it blows up and comes in he'll be a hero for having the 'courage' to retreat earlier than any governor ever did before.

So pissed.
