re: Your opinion on local media coverage of LSU
Posted by imnola on 7/16/12 at 8:44 pm to Lester Earl
Stewie,
Dandy is all LSU, the papers/tv cover other stuff.
Lester nailed it. We eat up details about the players. Who they are, how they think of their teammates, life obstacles, close teammates, etc.
Coaches too. Make our coaches human.
Here's one...the future #18...explain why he (rumor) earned it bc apparently every ranter knows...but can't explain it.
I hate the TP and WWL radio's "coverage" of LSU. Advocate was last great in 07. I use internet links to various sites. During fb season I check Nola and adv every day. And I check the rant abt 20 times a day.

re: Recruiting Board Insiders Only thread: Lee Chatelain, what are you hearing?

Didn't Patrick Johnson commit just a few days before our last BCS game?
Good for Marlon. Hope he proves himself.

Last I heard out of Belle Chasse is that he likes the gumps.
Wright is a smart kid. He's got offers from all over. What I got is that Miles offered, he was excited about it, but with his grades and football skills may go to a school like Stanford for the education opportunity. The kid was undecided last I heard.
Bump.
Anyone seen a pic of this?
Anyone seen a pic of this?
This is the way I remember it and I hope there's proof...It was real quick. He struck the batter out and when he was bringing his hand back ran it in front of his face real quickly. It almost looked like the action you do when you touch a hot plate.

Anyone have a picture of Chad Jones doing the you-can't-see-me quickly on the mound after a strikeout?

I might be wrong cause it was a while back, but I though LL and Terry got into it, not Oneal?
In the interview he said he has NOT been contacted. And he says he'd be interested in a move UP.
Coach O:
"First of all I've not been contacted by anyone from LSU. Obviously me being from Louisiana and the great school LSU is I'd always consider talking to LSU about a possible move up in my status of what I'm doing. Now, that doesn't mean that uh that's gonna come forward, but I'd listen to LSU, sure."

LSU-Troy game postponed until November

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU has postponed its football game
against Troy after Hurricane Gustav rolled through Louisiana this
week.
A person with direct knowledge of athletic scheduling at LSU
told The Associated Press the Tigers' game versus the Trojans will
be played Nov. 15. The person spoke on condition of anonymity
because the team had not been formally notified yet.
LSU has scheduled a press conference for 3 p.m. EDT.
LSU's football team met at the Tigers' on-campus training center
Tuesday afternoon, then went ahead with practice.
Gustav caused some damage at Tiger Stadium, including broken
glass and torn awnings over club seats. Debris littered the stands
and playing field.

Did ya'll even read the story?
I'll connect the dots...
Athletic dept meeting with State police.
State police are heavily used for games.
State police also control the contra flow.
State police cannot be tied up with a football game when Jindal is covering his arse.
That's reality. Accept it.

Contra-flow, in which all lanes of major highways would direct traffic away from the storm impact area, could begin Saturday or very early Sunday, Jindal said.
