More so with the defense

I was at the game and I'm not mansplaining or anything but from up in the uppers at games you can really see alot that fans can't see from the good seats or on TV.

Theres no excuse for open receivers but A&M's run game plan was brilliant. They ran counter plays very well and Achane was on fire to boot. Our defense was fired up early on but they were constantly overrunning the plays and out of position.

They ran this one play like 8 times where they motion a TE/WR from the right side to the left side, hand the ball off to the right side, our defense reacts to that side, and Achane would cut back left for 5-6 yards EVERY time.

My 13 yr old daughter saw that formation and play coming by the 2nd quarter(granted she's a very astute football fan).

It happens all the time.

Talented shitty team beats a top 10 team because they catch them underestimating and looking past. Happens all the time.

I concur. I kept going why are they just letting him cutback every run.
I also think not having Converse at corner kept us from blitzing and Muhammad Jr making plays.

We beat Muhammad Sr and Saban in Independence Bowl 1995.

LSU is more fired up to play Alabama, Auburn, and Florida every year.

LSU played vs A&M the same way they played against Arkansas…no emotion.

I just hope Kelly does not make a habit of losing to inferior programs Ike A&M.

It's almost like the higher ups told BK to take a loss for the greater good or for whatever reason

Just curious... what was the first?

Coaches too. It was frustrating seeing House not make any adjustments and the players look so lethargic.

Kelly said the team was fired up and ready up until about 24 hours before kickoff. Sounds to me like they got hit with a bug that sucked the life out of them. Unless they just got way too fired up early in the week and couldn't sustain it...pre-mature adrenaline drain.

I feel ya. Never been so mad from any football game in my life. Smashed a beer bottle in my hand while sober. Cuts are healing up good.

Wait a minute. That meaningless game made you madder than
Arkansas 2002?
Kentucky 2007?
Ole Miss 2008?
Alabama 2012?
Troy 2016?

eta: I know I messed up the year with Troy. I'll leave it as is for posterity.

Saban has admitted more than once that his teams always lose focus and energy after the LSU game until the SECCG.

But he accepts now and just tries like hell to counteract it every year.

There is a blueprint a few teams have found how to stop this LSU team. It will be up to our coaches to figure correct adjustments

I’m glad I am not the only person who saw that. A&M’s first drive told me how the game was going to go.

Now that's just silly shite people say after we lose a game. "I knew it when..."

I guess you knew it when every SEC team outscored us in the first quarter this year except Bama. And I bet you knew we'd beat Bama in the first quarter too.

Our adjustments on defense have been outstanding in all these games except Tennessee.

It was really bizarre to see the team with, what appeared to be, a lack of motivation. Especially in a game that was so important.

The team knew deep down they weren't good enough to win a national title. It was like a 1 in 100 shot.

The season probably already had a feel of finality to it the following weekend. We were not 100% mentally into the A&M game. It was a look-ahead spot to the Georgia game.

I'm 27 and wasn't a "real" LSU fan until the 2011 season. So the first 3 I never watched live.

2012 Bama pissed me off because we were good that year but still not really guaranteed a shot in the BCS had we won. Since that season was still using the BCS top 2 championship game.

2017*** troy was frustrating but we had already lost an early game and thought LSU was a bad team. When we went in to the Troy game i wasnt expecting much from the season after getting blown out by state. It turned out we had a decent team to end the year though.

2022 aTm while we had already lost two games this year. We were playing the final game of the regular season with a playoff spot on the line. We weren't out of the conversation. All we had to do was beat a team that we were a 2 score favorite over and then see what happens in the SEC Championship game. Then we proceed to shite the bed on defense. The only consistent part of this team nearly doubled their missed tackles allowed in a single game to lost to the WORST team in the SEC and lose a playoff bid... That sucked really bad... Like really fricking bad.

They played well. Not great but fine. 5&7 would've beaten Kansas City is the problem.

It just didn't make me mad and we spent $1000 on tickets and hotel room. I guess I was expecting a fired up Aggie team with nothing to lose.

To bring up another old game. It happens to everyone. Go look what happened in 1993 when LSU went to Bama.
Bama had everything on the line(repeat national champs) and LSU had little talent and nothing to prove. I watched this game at the LSU Rec Center as a freshman.
